Clinic for Diabetes and Hormone Diseases seeks a nurse for a part-time position, Medical Department, Randers Regional Hospital

We offer a permanent part-time position as a nurse between the Clinic for Diabetes and Hormone Diseases and the Medical Ward MSA, Randers Regional Hospital.

We are seeking a nurse with experience from clinic/ambulatory work.

You will approximately work three weeks in the Clinic for Diabetes and Hormone Diseases with exclusively day shifts, and about one week at our associated ward MSA with the possibility of evening and night shifts. In addition, everyone in the ward helps with weekend shifts as well as holidays and vacations. You should expect to work every 4th weekend.

In the Clinic for Diabetes and Hormone Diseases we handle many different functions, for example independent consultations with, among others, the newly diagnosed diabetes patient and patients with insulin pump.

Diabetes technology has become a large part of our work and we use, among other things, pumps and sensors in diabetes treatment. Therefore it would be a great advantage if you have knowledge of this.

We have independent nursing programs where we follow up on plans after medical consultations and guide in various examinations and treatments within osteoporosis and investigations for endocrine diseases.

We are a dynamic team with high activity and many diverse challenges and nursing tasks. Our team consists of nurses, specialists doctors, younger doctors, a dietitian, a social- and health care assistant, and secretaries. We work closely together and across professional groups to create a good patient pathway. We have a clinical supervisor to manage the nursing students' progression in the ward, but we all contribute to daily guidance and training.

On the ward which covers the specialties Geriatrics, Endocrinology and Internal Medicine, you will become part of a strong professional community. We work with assigned patient care and therefore cover all nursing care for the patients. You will in the ward contribute to the coordination of complex patient pathways and a close interdisciplinary collaboration with doctors, physiotherapists, occupational therapists, dietitians and municipal partners.

You will gain knowledge of the acute phases in endocrinology including, for example, ketoacidosis, where we receive patients directly from intensive care, and participate in training newly diagnosed diabetics in blood glucose measurement.

• Has up-to-date knowledge and experience in the specialty within the diabetes field and the use of the latest treatment principles.
• Has up-to-date knowledge/experience with insulin pump- and sensor treatment
• Takes part in and is responsible for a positive working environment.
• Is proactive and has good collaborative skills.
• Is reliable.
• Enjoys alternating between clinic and the ward

The introduction

You will be introduced and trained both in the clinic and in the ward. Your training will primarily be on-the-job training, and your training will be arranged to fit you and the experience you bring.

Before you start, you will receive a welcome letter with the shift schedule and useful information.

In the ward we always work in pairs or teams, so you will never be alone.

We start the employment with an expectations meeting followed by introductory conversations, until you transition to the MUS after one year of employment.

Salary and employment terms follow the collective agreement for non-managing staff in the Health Cartel area, entered into between the Health Cartel's parties, including the Danish Nurses Association and the Regions' Pay and Tariff Board. Employment is conditional on a satisfactory child certificate.

The position is a full-time position.
