Be part of strengthening mathematics at Munkholmskolen

Do you want to make a difference for both students and colleagues when it comes to mathematics?

Do you dream of taking a central role in the development of the subject while being the one who makes the numbers meaningful for both big and small?

Munkholmskolen invites you, who are passionate about both teaching and guidance, to become our new mathematics teacher with a guidance function.

Your professionalism and commitment drive us forward

We see you as an engaged and professionally grounded primary school teacher with a major in mathematics. If you have additional training as a mathematics adviser, that's an advantage – otherwise you are prepared to undertake the adviser training in the coming school year. You are motivated by seeing both students and colleagues grow, you work in a structured and systematic way and understand the importance of clear frameworks. You have a sense of didactics as well as a curious and development-oriented approach to the subject and your relationships. Collaboration and responsibility are key words for you.

We expect that you

  • have a major in mathematics
  • want both to teach and to advise colleagues
  • are proactive and take natural responsibility for developing the mathematics subject
  • can build good relationships with students, colleagues and parents
  • work systematically and can set clear boundaries
  • communicate clearly and appreciatively
  • are open to sparring and competence development
  • contribute to a positive and development-oriented culture at the school.

Your tasks and opportunities in the job

As our new colleague you will have the opportunity to teach mathematics – preferably with a special interest in the early years – and at the same time play a key role as a subject adviser and sparring partner for colleagues.

You help with planning, implementation and evaluation of the teaching, and you support work with inclusive learning environments and differentiation. You actively participate in professional networks across year groups and have a strong influence on the school's overall direction for the mathematics subject. Your guidance is translated into concrete practice that strengthens mathematical understanding across the whole school. Cohesion, development and job satisfaction

With us there is a safe and development-oriented atmosphere, where we prioritise curiosity, community and high professionalism. Collaboration and trust are important values – and you will experience an inspiring environment where all staff thrive and contribute with knowledge and ideas. We work closely in teams with the student at the centre and actively involve each other in the school's development. Your effort will be noticed and contribute to our shared goal of well-being and strong academic standards.

What you can expect from us

We offer a full-time position, where you get the opportunity for further training as an adviser – we invest in both your professional and personal development. You will have a great influence on your daily life in an open and supportive collegial community. Salary and terms follow the current collective agreement, and you will have support to develop your competences in an ambitious, but caring, working environment.

Practical information and contact

If you have questions, or would like to hear more about the position, you are very welcome to contact Pia Moltzen, school principal, or Mette Boas, deputy principal, at telephone 89 15 40 40. We look forward to answering your questions and welcoming your application.

Salary according to the applicable collective agreement

A children’s and criminal record check will be obtained
