About the job
We are a stable team of 20 employees seeking 2 colleagues with a social work background and preferably a therapeutic background, but it is not a requirement. We have room for a new colleague who does not necessarily have experience with family treatment, but you must have experience working with children, young people or families in vulnerable positions.
With us you will have a daily life where planning goes hand in hand with unpredictability. The position calls for you to have a good knowledge of yourself, so you can maintain calm, direction and relationships – even when resistance appears. Our work is independent, but always carried out in close collaboration with colleagues and management.
You will become part of a department where management is close to practice and prioritizes professional sparring, shared direction and social interaction. We are brave in solving tasks and therefore dare to make mistakes. We believe in our relationships, as they are the invisible structure that holds us together when tasks challenge us, the pace is high and we still want to succeed. We are each other’s work environment, and we value a good collective laugh.
In our community we create an engaged and competent work environment, which we regard as essential for the quality of task execution. We also create change through fixed external supervision, fixed internal sparring in small groups, and ongoing follow-up with a professional coordinator.
We believe that families are best helped with strong interprofessional collaboration, which is why we work closely with our psychologists, contact educators and the authority department. We also have an eye for cross-sector collaboration with PPR, health visitors, day care centers, schools and the families’ networks.
No methodology or pedagogical approach can do everything, so in our professional understanding we draw on general pedagogical guidance, neuroaffective development psychology, solution-focused approach, emotion-focused therapy, Sandplay, systemic/narrative thinking and a trauma-informed approach. We are not bound to a fixed theoretical reference framework but instead show a high methodological awareness in the work.
The tasks range broadly from offering concrete pedagogical guidance in the parental role to more insightful family therapy through individual or group-oriented interventions. We also work with families in high conflict and with families affected by violence and abuse dynamics. We perform observation and assessment of the family’s interaction, resources and developmental needs. We also handle co-occupancy tasks.
We are two practitioners in tasks where it makes sense, and we prioritize a mentoring scheme in the startup phase. Our workplaces are in families’ homes and in our family houses, and our important administrative gathering point is at the town hall, where our authority colleagues also have offices. Evening work may occur as needed and, on rare occasions, weekends.
Our DNA consists of the following
- bringing value to the team by meeting each other with an open mind
- setting high demands on ourselves and each other
- benefiting from shared reflections about task solving
- being inspired and engaged by each other’s knowledge and experience
- being focused on what we can contribute rather than what we can get
- trusting and knowing each other’s strategies
- going the extra mile to make a difference
- being proud to perform a special kind of work and to be part of our team
Your profile
We are looking for you who
- independently can manage guidance and/or therapeutic processes for parents and children
- have theoretical/methodical knowledge and experience with different intervention forms
- find value in collaborating with other professional groups
- are not afraid to bring yourself and your professional competence into play
- are precise in written communication
- are aware of your norms, and when they may hinder professional clarity
- find it natural to reflect on your practice and meaningful to receive sparring on your professional assessments
- think professionally creative and dare to take a chance based on your starting point
- can laugh at yourself and in the company of your colleagues
- are an empathetic person who shares the same professional DNA as us
Therefore choose us
You plan your own working hours in coordination with what the tasks require, and we also offer a 4-day flexible work week, where you can freely and continually from week to week choose whether you want to take Fridays off.
You will have access to our free health scheme with e.g. a psychologist, physiotherapist, osteopath and quick medical consultation.
Salary and employment terms
The position requires that you have a driving license and will use your own car when needed. Kalundborg Municipality also has cars that can be booked.
The salary range is DKK 475,000 - 550,000 annually, but is negotiated individually based on your qualifications and experience.
