Om jobbet
We are looking for a skilled and committed academic employee (part-time) to process primary datasets from ESA's CryoTEMPO Polar Ocean data (TEMPO).
Satellite data must be converted into freshwater transport estimates through the individual gates in the Arctic. Comparisons and validation with observational and model datasets must be made to assess the quality of these data and the calculated transports.
The job
You will work in a team led by Professor Ole Baltazar Andersen. You will be responsible for processing the above-mentioned data.
Our expectations of you
You work effortlessly in Python, communicate challenges and problems, participate in project meetings when relevant and provide input on how the tasks are best solved.
What do we offer you
An exciting and challenging working environment in a group of researchers and PhDs. You will help contribute to solving some of the central climate issues in the Arctic.
Salary and terms of employment
The appointment will be based on the collective agreement with the Danish Confederation of Professional Associations (AC). You will be employed as an AC Bachelor. In addition, supplements can be negotiated in accordance with DTU’s salary structure for academic staff employed in technical-administrative positions at DTU (AC TAP): https://www.inside.dtu.dk/en/human-resources/during-employment/salary/salary-structures
The position is for 10 hours per week.
Your workplace is DTU Lyngby, Building 328.
The position is expected to start on 1 January 2027. The position is for 6 months.
Application and contact
