1 position as a resident doctor in an introductory position at Orthopedic Surgery, AUH, with job number 6620-18-42-i-03 is available for occupancy on 1 November 2026 or as soon as possible thereafter. The position is a one-year full-time position. The position is classified within orthopedic surgery.

About the position

In the position you will be allocated to four different sectors. You will always be allocated to the Trauma Sector in one of the periods.

You participate in the on-call rota, which consists of all introductory and main training doctors (HU1 and 2 primarily). There is a 12-shift rotation.

The department has high research activity, and there are good opportunities to participate in research and development projects.

Orthopedic Surgery is at a high level led by a department management consisting of a chief physician, a chief nurse, and a chair professor. The department has 11 specialty sectors within orthopedic surgery. The department is a leader in highly specialized orthopedic surgery as well as regional and primary functions, whose professional and developmental status is internationally recognized. The department has a close interdisciplinary collaboration with a wide range of clinical departments as well as the primary sector, which participates in a coordinated effort for the good cohesive patient pathway.

Salary and employment terms

Salary and employment terms in accordance with the applicable collective agreement. Employment is conditional on a satisfactory child protection certificate and a satisfactory authorization.

A probation period of the first three months of employment is expected.
