1 position as a resident physician in an introductory position in Orthopedic Surgery, AUH, available for occupancy from 1 November 2026 or as soon as possible thereafter. The position (6620-18-42-i-03) is a one-year full-time position. The position is classified within orthopedic surgery.

About the position

In the position you will be allocated to four different sectors. You will always be allocated to the Trauma Sector in one of the periods.

You will participate in the on-call shifts, which consist mainly of all introductory and main training physicians (HU1 and HU2 primarily). There are 12 shifts in rotation.

The department has a high level of research activity, and there are good opportunities to participate in research and development projects.

About Orthopedic Surgery, AUH

Orthopedic Surgery is led by a department management consisting of a chief physician, a chief nurse, and a professor with a chair. The department has 11 specialty sectors within orthopedic surgery. The department is a leading provider of highly specialized orthopedic surgery as well as regional and tertiary functions, whose academic and developmental status is internationally recognized. The department has a close interdisciplinary collaboration with a wide range of clinical departments as well as primary care, contributing to a coordinated effort for the good cohesive patient pathway.

Salary and terms of employment

Salary and employment conditions in accordance with the applicable collective agreement. Employment is conditional on a satisfactory DBS check (childcare) and a satisfactory authorization.

A probationary period of three months can be expected at the start of employment.
