We are seeking 1-2 engaged teachers who want to become part of our academically strong and welcoming community.

We have particular need for competencies in music, German, Danish and English at the middle school and upper secondary (udskolingen).

At Nordstjerneskolen you will become part of a workplace where we collaborate closely, share knowledge and develop practice together. Our everyday life is characterized by presence, clarity and calm – both in the meeting with students and in the collaboration with one another.

We work project- and scenario-based and actively involve our scenic natural surroundings in teaching. At the same time we have a strong focus on co-teaching – especially in the early years (indskolingen), where it is a central part of our practice, but also as a prioritized approach for the rest of the school.

Our goal is that all students experience themselves as a valuable part of the community – and at the same time are both academically challenged and personally supported.

As a school we also host a broad student group and several municipal offerings. We host both the municipal 10th grade, the municipality's reception center and junior apprentice classes (juniormesterlæreklasser), which provides an exciting and diverse learning environment and good opportunities for cross-curricular collaboration.

What can you expect?

You will be part of a modern and newly built school in Helsinge with good facilities and easy access to nature and public transport.

We have a strong academic environment with dedicated colleagues and leadership that prioritizes well-being and development.

We are a school with international outlook and participate in Erasmus projects as well as exchanging experiences with our sister city in Japan. In addition, we collaborate closely with local sports clubs and have a sports talent line in the upper years.

Who are you?

We imagine that you are a trained teacher and want to work closely with your colleagues in a team. You are good at building relationships with children and youth, and you thrive in a daily life where you need to be clear, present and calm. You have a high level of expertise and work with differentiation and classroom management so that all students have the opportunity to succeed.

You have ambitions for both the students and yourself – and contribute actively to the community.

The position is full-time with start date 1 December 2026.
