About the job
Do you want to work closely in a 1:1 relationship, where structure, clarity and persistent pedagogical support are essential?
About the task
We are looking for one more employee for a permanent team around a service user.
The service user is non-binary and is addressed with the pronouns they/them. They have autism as well as depression and anxiety and in addition significant somatic challenges, which affect energy level and physical endurance.
They want a life with more energy and meaningful activities. They are creative and are interested in drawing, embroidery, beadwork and politics. They enjoy both creative and social activities – e.g., cafe visits or short walks – but energy level and physical capacity set clear limits.
Your task is to create a predictable and coherent daily routine through clear structure and concrete guidance. They have difficulty planning and carrying out tasks themselves, so tasks must be divided into manageable steps with follow-up and a realistic pace.
You work closely in the relationship and must continuously assess wellbeing and load. In periods with increased psychological vulnerability, they have difficulty being alone and require close, regulating support. It requires calm, overview and professional judgment when mood and energy level shift.
Communication is a central part of the intervention. They may have difficulty interpreting others' intentions and must therefore be supported in understanding and formulating communication – including in contact with authorities and partners.
There is a service dog in the home and you should be aware that vaping occurs in the home (but in the service user’s own room)
Day shifts
The task is to create and maintain a stable daily structure as well as support in planning and carrying out daily activities, shopping, cooking, meals, personal hygiene and appointments.
About you
You are a trained pedagogue and have experience with autism. If you do not have a pedagogical education, you have solid experience with people with autism spectrum disorder.
You work in a structured way and can translate pedagogical considerations into concrete action. You communicate clearly and create predictability through fixed frameworks and persistent support.
To ensure continuity, it is expected that the team can cover for each other in case of illness.
Working hours
A fixed day per week in the time window 6:45 - 15 or 14:45 - 23.
In addition, you must step in urgently in case of illness.
We offer
You will become part of a family-owned company with many dedicated employees. You will have a dedicated advisor whom you can always consult. Outside office hours there is always a staffed on-call phone, so you are never alone. Salary and pension in accordance with the Sectoral Agreement between FOA and Dansk Erhverv. You are covered by DUOS’ liability and work injury insurance, and health insurance is part of your pension scheme.
We offer a wide range of courses, and you will receive relevant introduction and ongoing upskilling as an employee of DUOS. And you simply cannot avoid developing yourself both personally and professionally when you work with people here at DUOS.
