About the job

Would you like to contribute to strengthening the early, preventive and holistic efforts for children and families in Stevns Municipality? We are seeking 2-3 family therapists who want to join a small unit, where we are in the process of further developing our shared professional direction in close collaboration with other actors in the child- and family sector. This means that you will have the opportunity to be close to development, contribute with your experiences and help shape both collaboration forms, methods and interventions.

We are seeking staff for family therapist positions, which involve several tasks – and are therefore interested in hearing from you who have a relevant health profession, pedagogical, therapeutic, psychological or similar background – preferably in combination.

We are currently in the process of seeking funding for the development of a Family House for the 0-6 year age group. The Family House initiative is both political and professional and focuses on ensuring early prevention, easy access to coherent support and a holistic approach for expectant parents and families with young children. Therefore we would like you to have experience with and/or an interest in working with small children, parents in vulnerable positions and early family interventions.

About the position

As a family therapist, you will be part of an area where we work closely across the social sector, health visiting, PPR, kindergartens, schools and other relevant partners. The tasks will include, among other things, family therapy programs, conversations with children, young people and parents, guidance in parenting, observations, network involvement and cross-disciplinary coordination of the family’s overall situation.

You will have a daily life with a high degree of independence, and you will largely plan appointments and working hours yourself. The work takes place both in the Family House in Store Heddinge and in the families’ own homes.

You must be prepared for changing working hours, as the work is continuously planned together with the families and can vary from task to task. Working hours are mainly between 8:00 and 20:00 (flexibility allowance is included in the position).

About the workplace

We are focused on becoming even better at interdisciplinary collaboration and ensuring a high professional quality in our task execution. We are at a stage where we are steadily building common approaches, a common language and a more integrated practice across interventions and partners. Therefore you should be prepared to actively and constructively contribute to this development with professional curiosity, collaboration skills and a view to common solutions.

Family interventions as a unit are under development, and in our development work we aim to be able to handle family-oriented tasks with reference to the child’s law, including family treatment, caseworker duties, contact, family mentor scheme and practical pedagogical support.

Your tasks will include

  • To plan and carry out tasks based on the needs of the child and the family
  • To work on parental competencies, interaction, wellbeing, structure and everyday mastery.
  • To participate in interdisciplinary collaboration around children and families.
  • To contribute to the development of new interventions and workflows in a unit under consolidation.
  • To document professionally, systematically and relevant to goals, progression and follow-up.
  • To support early, preventive and holistic interventions, especially in the area of small children.

We hope you

You do not need to check every box. We are hiring multiple staff and are therefore focused on assembling a team where different competencies, experiences and interests together can match the tasks. This means we are looking for you who

  • Have a relevant social-, health-, pedagogical or therapeutic education, e.g., social worker, educator, family therapist, health visitor or another relevant background.
  • Have experience with family treatment, parental collaboration and working with children and families in vulnerable positions – and preferably have experience with the 0-6 year area, infants and toddlers or early preventive interventions.
  • Can work systematically, purposefully and relationally with a focus on the child’s well-being and the family’s resources.
  • Have an awareness of both the child’s perspective, the parents’ situation and the family’s overall context.
  • Thrive in interdisciplinary collaboration and can create alignment through clear communication and professional curiosity.
  • Have a desire to be an active part of a developing unit where there is a need for both professional stability, flexibility and engagement.
  • Can work independently, but also see the value of joint reflection, sparring and development of practice.
  • Have experience with or a desire to work with group programs as part of the family-therapeutic interventions.
  • Have a driving licence and can travel around the municipality as needed.

Application and contact

If you can see yourself in a position where family treatment, early interventions and development of practice go hand in hand, we look forward to hearing from you. Please send your application, CV and relevant attachments via the municipality’s recruitment system.

For further information about the position you can contact Kirsten Pugdahl Torp, Head of Health Visiting and Family Interventions at phone 21 75 87 96 (feel free to text if you want to be called back). You are also very welcome to arrange a visit – we always have coffee on hand.

The positions are generally 37 hours/week. Start date 1 December 2026 or as soon as possible.

Application deadline 25 October 2026. The position is applied for electronically below.

Interviews will take place on 27 October between 15-18 and 28 October between 8-13.
