We expect that the pedagogue

• can apply theoretical and research-based knowledge in their core tasks – to create wellbeing, learning and development for the children.
• can translate knowledge into practice, including reflecting and communicating with professionals and parents.
• have the ability to establish diverse learning environments within language development, motor skills, cultural dissemination, creativity and the natural science area.
• can plan the pedagogical work and ensure that it is carried out with a certain degree of systematicity and intentionality.
• are responsible for ensuring that pedagogical activities and processes are planned and carried out in accordance with the law.
• at the same time must be able to cooperate with and instruct, guide and inspire pedagogical assistants and students in pedagogical work, ethics and norms.
• can work in collegial teams and have knowledge of teambuilding techniques and group dynamics.
• are particularly interested in and have knowledge about nature as a residence and learning environment.
• are able to work independently and lead in the pedagogical work.

The work is in both the nursery and kindergarten.

Who we are

The Children's House Skovdalen is located in Vorup close to nature with opportunities for many exciting nature experiences.

The Children's House Skovdalen is a combined institution with room for 39 nursery children and 67 kindergarten children.

We work from the new view of children with focus on the relational and acknowledging approach. We work inclusively, where all children should be part of a children's community.

We focus on a good working community, where we have close collaboration between nursery and kindergarten.

Outdoor life is a large part of our daily life, we have our own bus, and all kindergarten children have a weekly day where they go out and have experiences in nature.

Our playground offers many opportunities for play, it is located in hilly terrain with a piece of forest, where we also have a bonfire site.
