About the job

Are you the educator who dreams of working with autism and LA2U, then you might be Flintebjerg Vest's new educator!

About us

Flintebjerg Vest is a residential facility under §105/§85, consisting of 8 apartments. There live 8 residents aged 31-50.

Residents at Flintebjerg Vest are individuals within the autism spectrum or who benefit from the structured and predictable pedagogical approach.

Residents all have physical and mental impairments and require lasting support and guidance regarding everyday functions, such as personal care, meals, finances, social relations with fellow citizens, as well as cognitive support and guidance as needed.

At Flintebjerg Vest we work from a structured and appreciative approach, emphasizing relationship work, predictability and development – always starting from the individual resident's wishes, needs and prerequisites.

It is advantageous if you have knowledge of or experience with self-harming and outwardly reactive behavior, and have a pedagogical interest and curiosity to see beyond the behavior. We use the LA2U method, where we work purposefully with the resident's inside-out perspective. The method helps to develop and strengthen our shared professional foundation for the benefit of both residents and staff.

You will work in an interdisciplinary staff team consisting of educators, pedagogical assistants, social and health care assistants, social and health care helpers and care assistants. We continuously receive pedagogical assistant trainees and student teachers and are a place with room to be in the learning environment.

We can offer

  • A thorough introduction to tasks and the workplace
  • Autism Pilot training
  • Training in LA2U
  • A workplace where your professionalism and engagement make a difference
  • A clear pedagogical approach based on LA2U, focusing on learning and professional development
  • Strong influence on daily planning
  • A work environment characterized by trust, openness and collaboration
  • Inclusive leadership where values such as openness, trust and collaboration are highly valued

We expect that you have the following qualifications

  • Be a trained educator and have an interest in autism
  • Have good IT skills and the ability to document professionally in writing
  • Be engaged and curious to develop professionally
  • Work in a structured manner and look for opportunities rather than limitations
  • Have a driver's license

We expect our new colleague to

  • Be able to work with respect and empathy towards each individual resident
  • Have good cooperative skills, be responsible and flexible
  • Want and ability to work with an individualized approach to the resident
  • Be able to work in a structured way.
  • Can see opportunities rather than limitations
