About the Rest Centers

The Rest Centers in Frederikshavn Municipality are § 79 drop-in centers under Drop-in Centers and Special Interventions in the Center for Disability and Psychiatry. We have four rest centers spread across properties in Sæby, Frederikshavn and Skagen.

The rest centers are open and non-restrictive services where people can come as they are. Here there is room for a cup of coffee, a chat, activities and community – but also for the days when you just need to be somewhere where you feel welcome.

We meet people with different social and mental health challenges. Therefore our approach is characterized by respect, curiosity, equality and clarity.

We are looking for you who

• are educated as a social pedagogue and preferably have experience from psychiatry, the social sector, the vulnerable sector or rest centers
• are strong in relationship work and meet people with warmth, respect and equality
• can work independently and take responsibility for both daily operations and the professional work
• can create calm and an overview – even when situations become difficult
• have a desire to initiate activities and support communities together with the citizens
• can collaborate and actively contribute to a good collegial work environment
• are curious about your own practice and want professional sparring and development.

We emphasize that you can translate your social pedagogical expertise into a everyday life where the relationship and the good meeting with the citizen are the starting point.

We are working on strengthening cross-service collaboration and creating a clearer shared professional direction.

We focus on stability, quality and ongoing development, always with an eye to both the citizens' needs, resources and possibilities for participation.

You will become part of the Rest Centers and Special Interventions, which consists of several services across Frederikshavn Municipality. We work to create more coherent, flexible and citizen-centered interventions, where we both take the individual citizen's needs and the resources the individual brings with them into account.
