Are you a pedagogue and keen to work with placed children and youth?

Then we have three vacant positions at Havrebjerg Children's and Youth Home – two starting on November 1, 2026 and one starting on December 1, 2026.

We are looking for someone who enjoys being with children and young people, and who wants to use both your professional skills and yourself in the relationship. You who can create calm and structure – but also take the initiative for an outing, a game, cooking, a good talk or something else that makes sense in everyday life.

At Havrebjerg, children and young people live who need adults who stay and are available – even when the day becomes difficult.

About Havrebjerg

Havrebjerg is a children's and youth home for placed children and young people aged 6-18. We create everyday life characterized by safety, predictability and strong relationships, where the individual is met from their own resources, needs and possibilities. With a mentalizing approach we work from the understanding that children's and young people's behavior and reactions are closely linked to their experiences and life situation.

Therefore we meet them with curiosity and acknowledgment, while at the same time creating frameworks that allow for new positive experiences, the feeling of succeeding and the sense of being a valuable part of the community.

We are looking for someone who

• is a trained pedagogue
• thrives with relationship work – even when development requires time and perseverance
• can create structure, calm and predictability
• takes initiative and enjoys activities and shared experiences
• actively contributes to professional and collegial collaboration
• can work independently and within common professional frameworks
• can articulate yourself professionally and in writing
• has a driving license

Experience from residential care or with placed children and young people is an advantage, but not a requirement.

Become part of an evolving Havrebjerg

You join Havrebjerg at a time when we set the course for the coming years. We are working with a three-year vision plan, focusing on our physical environment, professional development and competence development.

From 2027 we will initiate a three-year joint education plan focusing on trauma and mentalization. You will therefore be part of both the daily pedagogical task and the development we will create together at Havrebjerg.

You will receive ongoing supervision and professional sparring.

Everyday life with us

The pedagogical work takes place not only in planned conversations. It happens over dinner, on the drive, during an activity, when goodnight must be said – and when a day suddenly becomes difficult.

It is in everyday life that relationships are built.

We work according to a rolling 8-week duty roster with long shifts.

Practical about the positions

The total staff group at Havrebjerg consists of a manager, an academic coordinator, eight permanent pedagogues and a kitchen assistant. The three vacant positions are included in the eight permanent pedagogue positions.

Employment is under the Agreement for social educators and pedagogical staff at residential institutions etc., concluded between KL and SL. The starting salary is expected to be based on placement as a pedagogue on basic salary grade 27 + base salary supplement corresponding to DKK 14,827 in level 00. Placement also depends on seniority and qualifications.

The range for starting salary is thus DKK 32,485.59 - 36,799.77 per month excl. pension.

In addition, there is the possibility of allocation of allowances in connection with negotiations of individual allowances based on relevant competencies, cf. the Collective Agreement on local pay formation.
