3 pedagogues for the Children's and Youth Home Havrebjerg

Are you a pedagogue and interested in working with placed children and young people?

Then we have three vacant positions at Havrebjerg Children's and Youth Home – two with start dates of 1 November 2026 and one with start date of 1 December 2026.

We are looking for you who enjoy being with children and young people, and who want to use both your professional skills and yourself in the relationship. You who can create calm and structure – but also take the initiative for an outing, a game, cooking, a good conversation or something else that gives meaning in everyday life.

At Havrebjerg, children and young people live who need adults who stay and are available – even when the day becomes difficult.

About Havrebjerg

Havrebjerg is a children’s and youth home for placed children and young people aged 6-18. We create everyday life characterized by safety, predictability and strong relationships, where each individual is met based on their own resources, needs and possibilities. With a mentalizing approach, we work from the understanding that children and young people's behavior and reactions are closely linked to their experiences and life situation.

Therefore, we meet them with curiosity and recognition, while at the same time creating frameworks that make room for new positive experiences, a sense of success, and feeling of being a valuable part of the community.

We are looking for someone who

• is a trained pedagogue
• thrives with relationship work – even when development requires time and persistence
• can create structure, calm and predictability
• takes initiative and is keen on activities and shared experiences
• contributes actively to the professional and collegial collaboration
• can work independently and within common professional frameworks
• can express yourself professionally and in writing
• has a driving license

Experience from the 24-hour sector or with placed children and young people is an advantage, but not a prerequisite.

Become part of an evolving Havrebjerg

You will join Havrebjerg at a time when we set directions for the coming years. We are working with a three-year vision plan, focusing on our physical premises, professional development and competence development.

From 2027 we will launch a three-year shared training plan focusing on trauma and mentalization. You will therefore be part of the everyday pedagogical tasks and of the development we will create together at Havrebjerg.

You will receive ongoing supervision and professional sparring.

Our everyday life

The pedagogical work takes place not only in planned conversations. It happens over dinner, on the drive, during an activity, when it’s time to say good night – and when a day suddenly becomes difficult.

It is in everyday life that relationships are built.

We work with a rolling 8-week duty schedule with long shifts.

Practical information about the positions

The total staff group at Havrebjerg consists of a director, a professional coordinator, eight fixed pedagogues and a kitchen assistant. The three vacant positions are included in the eight fixed pedagogue positions.

Employment is under the Agreement for social pedagogues and pedagogical staff at 24-hour institutions, etc., entered into between KL and SL. The starting salary is expected to be based on placement as pedagogue on base salary grade 27 + base salary supplement corresponding to 14,827 DKK in 00-level. Placement depends among other things on seniority and qualifications.

The range for the starting salary is thus 32,485.59 - 36,799.77 DKK/month excluding pension.

In addition, there is the possibility of granting an allowance in connection with negotiations of individual allowances based on relevant competences, cf. the Collective Agreement on local pay formation.
