A position as a church sexton at Stenløse and Veksø Churches, Stenløse-Veksø parish is available as of 1 December 2026 or as soon as possible thereafter.

The position is 24 hours per week.

Stenløse and Veksø Parishes have a total of 10,432 inhabitants, of which 7,229 are members of the Church of Denmark.

The work includes

· Church service duties at high mass and other church services.

· Participation in and organization of events in the churches' houses

· Cleaning of the churches in Stenløse and Veksø, Stenløse Sognegård and Veksø Sognehus.

· Other miscellaneous work including, for example, assistance at the cemetery.

The work is carried out in close cooperation with our other churchwarden and coordinating parish clerk.

Employment takes place with Stenløse-Veksø Parish Council located at Engholmvej 6, 3660 Stenløse

The employment is covered by the Collective Agreement between the Ministry of Finance and Public Employees Organisations (OAO-S) and the Organizational Agreement for church officials with core tasks such as churchwarden or sexton, concluded between the Ministry of Ecclesiastical Affairs and the Danish Churchwarden Association and the accompanying protocol for churchwardens. Current civil-service churchwardens have the right to retain their civil-service status when employed with a direct transition. In that case, a classification of the position must take place.

We would like you to have the mandatory 5 weeks of training for churchwardens, unless it is completed within the first 2 years of employment.

Annual salary is agreed within the range of 324,667 kr. – 408,841 kr. (current kroner).

There is an on-call commitment to the position. The on-call allowance amounts to annually 33,231.00 kr. (current kroner).

OK allowance of 1,401.00 kr. (current kroner) per year.

An agreement on placement in the pay scale is made between the parish council and the Danish Churchwarden Association.

The position has a 3-month probation period.

Salary OK allowance and on-call allowance are calculated in proportion to the position's employment fraction.
