About the job

Would you like a working life where you are allowed to use your physiotherapist qualifications widely – and where you also get great freedom to plan your own daily schedule?

Then we have a position that does not become available very often.

In the Health Service we are looking for a paediatric physiotherapist with start on 1 December 2026 or as agreed. You will be part of a small, interdisciplinary team with high professional standards, a high degree of independence and a shared focus on creating the best possible framework for children and young people in Lolland Municipality.

We are in the Health Service, 9 public health nurses, 2 occupational therapists and 2 physiotherapists – of whom you may become the one.

A daily life close to the children

As a paediatric physiotherapist with us you will have a varied workday, where you meet the children in the settings where their everyday lives take place.

You will among other things

  • take care of rehabilitation of children and young people up to 18 years
  • be affiliated with the special kindergarten in Maribo, where you contribute with your physiotherapist expertise
  • examine, guide and treat children with close involvement of their parents
  • be responsible for open consultation in Maribo once a month together with an occupational therapist
  • participate in interdisciplinary meetings and collaborations where your physiotherapist perspective is important when we together have to find the best possibilities and solutions for the child
  • work closely with, among others, parents, daycare, schools and other professionals around the child.

In our professional work we use among other things the ABC-movement test, AIMS and Bayley.

You get freedom – and we expect you to use it

The position is self-planned, which means you have a great influence on planning your own workday.

We believe that high professional standards thrive best together with trust and responsibility. Therefore you will have room to prioritise and plan your tasks within the framework and direction we set together.

You are not alone. You will have physiotherapist collegial sparring and become part of a team where different disciplines are used actively, and where we help each other.

A team you want to be a part of

We are proud that there are very few vacant positions in the Health Service.

Here you will meet colleagues with high professional standards and strong commitment to the children and families – but also a team where there is humour, coziness and enjoyable moments in a busy workday.

You will have an office at the Town Hall in Maribo, centrally located and close to the station and the motorway exit.

In addition you will

  • an induction program so you settle well into both tasks and the organization
  • opportunity for professional sparring and supervision
  • relevant competence development
  • a close interdisciplinary environment
  • great independence and the opportunity to influence your own work.

Who are you?

First and foremost you are a trained physiotherapist and want to work with children and young people.

We also imagine that you

  • work in a structured way and can create an overview of your own tasks
  • thrive with both independence and close cooperation
  • are curious about other professions and also dare to bring your own approach clearly into play
  • meet children, families and partners in an affirming and respectful manner
  • have a sense of humor and a desire to contribute to the community
  • have a driver's license.

If you already have experience with paediatric physiotherapy or our professional methods, that is naturally an advantage. But we are also interested in hearing from you if you have the right physiotherapist expertise and a strong motivation to work with children.

Perhaps you are the one we are missing?

If you are looking for a classic physiotherapist role, there are many opportunities.

But if you are seeking a position with children and young people, a high degree of independence, interdisciplinary work, professional challenges and the opportunity to make a real difference in the children’s everyday life, then we think you should consider applying with us. This opportunity does not come along often.

Salary and employment terms

The position is 32 hours per week with start on 1 December 2026 or as agreed. Employment interviews are expected to be held on Thursday 22 October 2026.

Starting salary in the position is expected to be based on the base pay progression in the collective agreement for physiotherapists 37t (DKK 30,903.89 – 36,856.31). In addition, there is a pension of 19.44%. Furthermore, there will be an opportunity for negotiation of individual allowances based on relevant competencies as well as a function allowance. Remuneration is in accordance with the applicable collective agreement and the principles of local pay formation. Criminal and child abuse checks will be conducted on the person offered the position.

Application process

  • Application deadline 18 October 2026 at 23:59.
  • Date of interviews 22 October 2026.
