Aalborg Municipality is seeking pedagogical assistant apprentices for the main apprenticeship - January 2027 (VET)

What does a pedagogical assistant apprentice do

As a pedagogical assistant apprentice you work pedagogically with children, young people or adults - both in normal settings and in special education. It is an education where you must motivate and support others, as well as focus on development and well-being through play and activities. The education as a pedagogical assistant is a vocational education, which takes 2 years and 1½ months on the main course, where you alternate between school and apprenticeship periods.

An education with a focus on an exciting learning environment

We offer you an education where you learn both theoretically and practically to perform pedagogical work. In the school periods you will be taught at SOSU Nord in Aalborg, and in the apprenticeship periods you work in one of Aalborg Municipality's day-care centers, schools or special provisions, where you gain practical experience with the tasks a pedagogical assistant performs. You will be assigned an apprenticeship supervisor who will guide you in working with your apprenticeship goals.

In the apprenticeship periods - in addition to working on your academic goals - you will also have the opportunity to experience being part of a workplace, being a colleague, taking responsibility and having opportunities for learning and development.

You will become part of

Aalborg Municipality, which is currently seeking pedagogical assistant apprentices for employment in Children and Youth and Job and Social - with education start on the main course on January 18, 2027.

Salary and employment terms

You will receive an apprentice wage throughout your education. You are employed according to the applicable collective agreement between KL and FOA - Fag og arbejde.

Your working time is 37 hours per week.
