About the job

Would you like to help strengthen Region North Jutland’s overall crisis preparedness? Are you motivated by driving projects and development tasks in a large, political organization – and can you navigate the tension between strategy, project management and emergency preparedness? Then you are well on your way to becoming our new colleague.

We are seeking an experienced AC-level administrative officer for a newly created position in the Emergency Preparedness Unit, where you will, among other things, have a key role in implementing new legislation and tightened requirements for our resilience in close collaboration with the unit’s other staff.

About the Emergency Preparedness Unit

In Region North Jutland’s Emergency Preparedness Unit we work with emergency planning and resilience across the entire organization. We are expanding the unit and therefore we are now looking for a colleague with talent for leading and carrying out projects and development tasks.

We are a small unit where we work closely together on tasks and have a varied daily life with short lines of communication, high professionalism and ongoing sparring with one another. The unit is responsible for ensuring that Region North Jutland implements and complies with national requirements for health emergency preparedness and new legislation within, among other things, resilience (CER Act) and supply security. In addition, we are responsible for the region’s health emergency preparedness plan, which is a central governance document for the entire emergency preparedness.

We are based at Hjulmagervej in Aalborg together with the Pre-Hospital Care Organization, and you will become part of a small team with the head of emergency preparedness as your immediate supervisor.

Your tasks

As an AC-level administrative officer you will have a broad portfolio of tasks, where you will have ample opportunity to use your professional competencies. One of your first tasks will be as project manager on the implementation of the Act on the Resilience of Critical Entities (CER Act), where you will, among other things, be tasked with supporting decision-making processes in the steering group, ensuring progress on the concrete initiatives and handling contact with the Health Authority, which is the competent authority in the area.

In addition, there will also be tasks where you shall

  • Participate in other, cross-cutting projects with e.g. other regions, agencies etc.
  • Prepare emergency preparedness analyses and decision bases.
  • Provide data and input for status reporting in relevant management forums.
  • Ensure a common, coordinated direction in the work with emergency planning across the unit.
  • Support the strategic development of the unit and the emergency preparedness area in general.
  • Take part in the unit’s other administrative and operational tasks.

Tasks may vary over time – the emergency preparedness area is dynamic, and you will have the opportunity to influence the direction with your competencies.

Who are you?

We are looking for a colleague with a strong academic background and solid experience in project management. You have previously worked in, for example, a municipality, state or region and have insight into the case handling and decision-making processes used in public organizations. We also would like you to be capable of coordinating and carrying out your tasks with an eye for daily life in the clinic and shared administration.

In addition we place emphasis on that you

  • Thrive in relational roles and can embrace stakeholders with different interests in the individual projects.
  • Exhibit impact in the role as project manager.
  • Work systematically with the tasks and can ensure both progress and goal achievement.
  • Can see connections across projects, tasks and disciplines, with the aim of aligning solutions and actions.
  • Are curious, proactive and contribute to developing the emergency preparedness area in the region.
  • Are a strong communicator – both in writing and orally.
  • Want to work in a politically governed organization where decisions and priorities set the frame.
  • Have insight into the emergency preparedness field – for example emergency planning, risk analysis, supply security, crisis management etc. but this is not a requirement.
  • Hold a driving license (B).

We offer…

As an AC-level administrative officer in Region North Jutland you will experience that you:

  • Get the opportunity to influence concrete tasks based on your qualifications and professional interests.
  • Have great personal freedom to solve your tasks, including the possibility of working from home by agreement.
  • Contribute to realizing the unit’s potential and set the standard for the unit’s task execution.
  • Have a varied daily life with diverse tasks and close collaboration with hospitals and companies.
  • Receive ongoing feedback on your tasks.
