About the job
Would you like to be part of an organization that every day makes a difference for acutely ill and injured citizens? In the Emergency Medical Services administration we support the entire organization. We are close to operations while also contributing our professional expertise to solving some of the tasks that keep the organization around the core service functioning. We have two positions in the Secretariat in the administration.
Both a permanent position, including complaints handling and sustainability, as well as a maternity cover which is partially overlapping but also includes tasks related to secretariat support for a number of leaders' meetings of hospital management.
Emergency Medical Services is an operating region in the Central Denmark Region, where we take care of the seriously ill and injured patients who need help via 112. We are responsible for the medically professional efforts until the patients, for example, are received at the hospital. In addition, Emergency Medical Services is responsible for patient transport to and from treatment at the hospitals when own transport is not possible.
With the Night Duty of the Medical Emergency and Response Service we help patients who become so ill at night that they need urgent, but non-life-saving, medical care. At the moment we are also in the process of gathering experience with a new psychiatric function.
The administration in Emergency Medical Services supports the whole organization and comprises a total of 40 employees including student assistants. Both positions are part of the Secretariat team in the Administration, which consists of 9 employees.
Your tasks
For the maternity cover the tasks include
- Secretariat support for the hospital management's meeting forums with both the department head circle and the overall management in Emergency Medical Services. This involves meetings with two-weekly intervals and planning of a leadership seminar in the coming year
- Planning content and coordination regarding visits by politicians and partners in Emergency Medical Services
- Secretariat support for hospital management's participation in the Corporate Forum and Corporate Strategic Forum
- Case processing related to reports concerning the entire organization etc., as requested by the Corporate
- Case processing regarding service complaints, citizen inquiries and access to information in relation to the part of our operations concerning 1-1-2 calls and the Night Duty of the Medical Emergency, where we handle the case management, which includes legal assessment, input from collaborating departments and preparation of responses
- Case processing concerning complaints related to the part of our operations that concerns patient transport as part of the cross-cutting complaints team with the Transport Office in Holstebro
You will have collaboration interfaces primarily internally in Emergency Medical Services in supporting hospital management and other levels of management in the organization.
For the permanent position the tasks include
- Support for the operations departments' work with sustainability in relation to the regional sustainability agreements
- Case processing in the complaints area, where we handle the case management, including legal assessment, input from collaborating departments and drafting responses
- Staff support as part of the regional work with strengthening the health service. This includes assisting our work into the various national forums and creating overview and relevant decision-making processes in close collaboration with other regional actors in the matrix organization
You will have collaboration interfaces both internally in Emergency Medical Services and the rest of Region Midtjylland's health system, as well as with external partners.
Our expectations of you
- You have a social science or other relevant master's degree
- You have strong professional competencies as a generalist, which you are happy to contribute to a cross-disciplinary organization
- You have good organizational understanding – and can navigate complex processes
- You are collaborative and pragmatic and will succeed together with others
- You are proactive with great commitment regardless of the size of the task
- You are responsible, structured and proper
If you are applying for the permanent position, it would be advantageous if you already have knowledge of pre-hospital work – including the current work with strengthening the health service.
What we can offer you
Emergency Medical Services is a workplace where we focus on the quality of daily operations while we continually develop pre-hospital services for citizens. This gives us ongoing new cross-organizational tasks and helps create an exciting, multidisciplinary environment.
You will become part of the administration, which is organized into five teams; Communications+, Finance, IT, Planning and Projects, as well as the Secretariat. Both positions are located in the Secretariat team, and you will have staff reporting to the head of the team.
In the administration we want us to meet each other with trust and respect. This is the basis for strong collaboration, which means that we can jointly solve our many different tasks in the best possible way. It also often happens in close collaboration with employees and leaders from the rest of the organization. Our leadership principles are based on trust, dialogue and integrity, which means that we are each other’s prerequisites for succeeding in solving the administration's tasks at a high professional level.
