About the job
Would you like to contribute to developing and supporting the administration in a modern emergency service, where you both get responsibility, influence and a daily life with great variation?
At Midtjysk Brand & Redning we are looking for a colleague for a newly established position in our administration. You will have an important role in supporting daily operations, creating structure and contributing to the development of the organization. At the same time, you will be part of an emergency service that every day creates safety for more than 200,000 residents in Silkeborg and Viborg Municipality.
About the job
We are looking for an enterprising and curious colleague who can work in a structured way with administrative and financial tasks and at the same time thrives on taking initiative for new solutions and improvements. The day-to-day ranges from coordination and development tasks to administration, finance, service and practical tasks, and we expect you to enjoy both the operations-oriented and development-oriented parts of the job.
We continuously work on developing and digitalizing our administrative processes. Therefore, we are seeking a colleague who is curious about digital opportunities and can help develop more efficient digital workflows.
You will have a unique opportunity to shape the content, areas of responsibility and development of the position. We do not expect you to fit into a fixed box. On the contrary, we would like you to bring your own interests, ideas and competencies into play. The position may therefore be relevant whether you have several years of experience or are a recent graduate.
You will report directly to the Chief Financial and Administrative Officer, Bettina Rønning Nielsen, and you will especially work closely with two skilled colleagues who handle the daily financial, payroll and personnel administrative tasks.
Your main tasks
- Support the daily financial, payroll and personnel administrative tasks
- Contribute to budgeting, budget follow-up and financial reconciliations
- Contribute to digitalization and efficiency improvements of administrative processes
- Develop and maintain procedures, templates and administrative workflows
- Coordinate meetings, projects and internal activities
- Provide administrative sparring/consultation to leaders and colleagues
We imagine that you
- have a relevant educational background in, for example, public administration or economics, e.g., as an administrationsbachelor, merkonom or kommunom
- have an interest in digitalization and see opportunities to streamline workflows through digital tools and solutions
- have a flair for numbers and administrative processes
- have good skills in Excel and preferably experience with finance, payroll or HR systems
- thrive in a role with many different tasks and contact points
- are not afraid to roll up your sleeves, whether the task is about development, coordination or practical administration
As a person we value that you
- are proactive and naturally spot tasks that can create value
- work independently, take responsibility and follow tasks through
- communicate clearly and professionally both verbally and in writing
- work in a structured way and have an eye for both detail and context
- build good relationships and collaborate naturally across the organization
We offer
- A newly established position with the opportunity to develop our workflows and processes within finance and administration
- An versatile and varied job with great flexibility and influence on your own workday
- A meaningful job in a company with a large societal impact
- A professionally strong environment with skilled and dedicated colleagues
- A strong sense of community characterized by collaboration, integrity and action
You will become part of the Department of Support & Administration, which also consists of a Service Assistant, an Analysis and Development Officer and a Communications Consultant.
We help each other, share knowledge and lift tasks together. We value both professional sparring, flexibility and a good laugh in everyday life.
