About the job
Are you keen to be part of a strong professional environment where we support the companies that want to invest in future environmental technology solutions? Then you may be the one to become our new colleague in the Office for International Cooperation and Sustainable Development.
The Environmental Protection Agency is part of the Ministry of the Environment and the Danish authority on environmental matters. We work for water and marine nature, climate adaptation, safe chemicals, green production and circular economy. Our core task is to translate nature and environmental legislation into reality in interaction with the outside world.
The Environmental Protection Agency is nationwide and has about 900 employees. The agency's headquarters with about 700 staff is located in Odense, where you will also have your place of employment.
We are looking for you who want to
- Support our administration of projects, e.g. in connection with case processing of new and ongoing projects. It is therefore advantageous if you have a flair for project budgets and accounting, an understanding of grant schemes, and you have experience working with administrative systems.
- Contribute to our website.
- Handle various ad-hoc tasks and lend a hand across the entire office when needed.
- Work independently and as part of a team.
We are looking for you who have
- An administrative — possibly accounting background.
- Experience with administrative IT systems and generally strong proficiency in Excel, Word, PowerPoint and other common programs.
- A systematic approach to your work, the ability to connect things and keep a cool head when things get busy.
You work independently and in a structured way, and at the same time you are a team player. You work well in a cross-disciplinary environment, thrive with many tasks and are flexible regarding tasks and take pride in lending a hand where needed.
We offer you
An exciting position with responsibility and meaning, and where your work has great significance for the development of Danish environmental technology. You will have good and dedicated colleagues, who have an informal tone, who keep spirits high and pull together – also when we are busy.
We are a commuter-friendly workplace with flex time and the possibility for home office. We offer an exciting environment where everyday life alternates between case processing characterized by immersion, administration, operations, development and ongoing handling of suddenly arising environmental questions. Your colleagues are professionally knowledgeable, the bar is set high and we prioritize professional sparring and knowledge sharing mixed with humor and chat over coffee.
Tasks in the unit and organization
The Office for International Cooperation and Sustainable Development consists of two teams, namely the MUDP Secretariat and the International Team, which coordinates the Environmental Protection Agency's international authority collaborations. We are about 15 in the office with different professional backgrounds and experiences – including a functional head and a head of office.
The available position is in the MUDP Secretariat, but in the future cross-office tasks may arise. MUDP is a grant scheme that supports companies' development of new environmental technology in areas such as water and climate adaptation, air and noise, waste and resources, sustainable construction, chemistry and biodiversity. The program is run by an independent board, served by the MUDP Secretariat in the Environmental Protection Agency. The Secretariat's tasks range widely from evaluating applications, processing ongoing projects, preparing board meetings and much more.
Salary and Terms of Employment
Salary and terms of employment are in accordance with the prevailing general collective agreement between the Ministry of Finance and Public Employees Organizations – The Civil Service Area and the corresponding collective agreement for office clerks, laboratory technicians and IT staff (HK).
The employing area is the Ministry of the Environment with its associated institutions.
The place of work will be the Environmental Protection Agency, Lerchesgade 35, 5000 Odense C.
