Do you want to lead a department that will strengthen the use of data in Energinet and across the energy sector and develop digital solutions for planning the future electricity grid?

Energinet is a central company within the energy sector in Denmark. In Energinet System Responsibility we work to ensure a stable and sustainable energy supply for the benefit of society. As department head you will play a central role in our effort to utilize data and create digital solutions that contribute to Energinet's core tasks. We are seeking a leader for the Data and System Modeling department, who can set a clear direction, achieve results through others and promote collaboration across the organization.

Leadership of skilled specialists with broad collaboration interfaces

As head of Data and System Modeling you develop and lead a department that has three primary areas of responsibility:

• Create transparency about the energy system through responsibility for external data publication, including via Energi Data Service
• Organize and bring together a cross-cutting data effort and further develop the common data foundation
• Develop digital solutions and system models that support planning of the electricity grid's future infrastructure.

The department consists of product owners, business developers, software developers and data specialists and acts as a link between Energinet System Responsibility's business areas and Energinet's IT organization. As department head you will unite the department around a common direction and create the framework for the department's specialists to succeed.

You will be responsible for developing the area, prioritizing the department's efforts and ensuring that the competencies are used where they create the greatest value, with a view to balancing technical sustainability in the short term and long-term development.

You will play an important role in strengthening the cohesion between business, data and digital solutions, where the ability to collaborate and develop solutions in partnership with other business areas and the IT organization is crucial.

Development-oriented leader with solid data understanding

We are seeking an experienced and engaged leader who thrives at the intersection of business, digitalization and regulation. You have experience managing specialized staff and translating strategic goals into concrete results.

You are strong in relationship work and can build following across organizational and professional boundaries in an organization with many stakeholders and dependencies. At the same time you have good analytical and communication skills and can make complex issues understandable and actionable.

In addition, we seek a leader with a strong understanding of data and knowledge of the value that data creates both internally and externally, and you see the opportunities that the use of data opens up. You have knowledge of the prerequisites and basis for what it takes to realize the value of data and the complexity often involved.

Experience from the energy sector or other regulated areas where business, technology, governance and regulatory requirements must be balanced and translated into robust solutions is valued.
