Who are we?

Firkløverskolen is a public school with about 700 pupils distributed across a general offering and a special offering located at four departments:

• Givskud and Ikær, where pupils attend 0.-6. grade with accompanying after-school care
• Søndermarken, where we gather pupils in 7.-9. grade
• Special department, which is located at Elkjær and Søndermarken

At Firkløverskolen we create a good framework for the children's whole day. We believe that all children and youths can learn, and that they develop together with others. We start from the premise that children fundamentally do their best, and that they participate in learning communities when the framework supports it. We focus on children's potentials and resources and are concerned with diverse and strong communities, where difference is seen as a strength.

Firkløverskolen is an exciting school, where you are attached to department Givskud. The department is a small unit with a big heart, which is also closely connected to the school's other departments through strong cross-cutting collaboration. The department has about 10 staff, and we teach about 80 children from 0.-6. grade.

Personnel leadership, pedagogical leadership and operations responsibility

Your leadership task is varied and will consist of both personnel leadership, pedagogical leadership and daily operations. This builds on the fact that we are a development school and work from Vejle Municipality's strategy of "more children and young people in local communities". It is expressed among other things through three development tracks:

• Strengthening the transition to school start through the use of transition pedagogues
• Co-teaching, where we develop the teaching so that more children experience participation, mastery and learning during the school day.
• Physical arrangement of good learning environments.

To support the work with co-teaching, this school year we have a learning program with Nordic Learning for the whole staff. All with the ambition of creating learning environments where all children feel they belong and contribute.

You will play a central role in this work, where your task is to motivate and support the staff at the Givskud department to translate the ambitions into practice. Here you should be able to lead in front of, behind and beside the staff, spar with them about teaching and pedagogical practice and have close contact with pupils and parents.

You understand the various staff groups' cultures and workflows and go ahead in the work of creating frameworks where students experience mastery, well-being and where positions in the learning community change.

As department head you will be part of a large leadership team which besides you consists of a school principal, a deputy principal, two department heads, an SFO (after-school care) leader, a leader of pedagogy and learning and a technical service leader.

You will experience good opportunities for sparring in task solving and become part of a strong leadership community, even though your daily presence is on the campus in Givskud. As department head you will have both responsibility for daily operations, pedagogical leadership close to the staff and cross-organizational tasks and/or AKT function in Givskud.

• is a trained teacher and has experience from the school world, preferably with leadership experience or other relevant further education,
• thrives with a versatile task solution and can balance between development and operations,
• thrives working in a cross-field with many interests,
• can be persistent and provide qualified professional sparring,
• can manage collaboration- and network meetings in 0.-6. grade based on a resource-oriented view of both children and parents,
• understands the importance of celebrating the organization's successes, both small and large,
• has strong relational skills, is dialogic and keeps an overview with attention to both detail, the individual and the community,
• can set a clear professional direction while safeguarding a good working environment.
