Head of Department for Disability and Social Psychiatry in Solrød Municipality

We are seeking a department head who can ensure good daily operations and help develop our offerings in close collaboration with staff and leadership colleagues.

About the department

Disability and Social Psychiatry includes Netværkshuset, the residential facilities Hjerter 9 and Lindevej, and soon Solbækken. We support citizens with mental, social and cognitive challenges to achieve a daily life with as much independence and quality of life as possible. Netværkshuset provides, among other things, the framework for the municipality's social-pedagogical support under the Social Services Act § 85.

The department has 25 employees spread across different locations. We want to strengthen the coherence between the services so that employees feel they are part of a unified department with a common direction and good professional collaboration. At the same time there must be room for the different tasks and citizen groups.

In the past two years we have worked to strengthen collaboration with volunteers and local communities. You as department head will help continue that work so that citizens have more opportunities to participate in activities and communities outside the municipal offerings.

About the job

As department head you will be responsible for people management, professional quality, daily operations and budgeting. You must be an approachable and stable leader who creates security and continuity in everyday life. This requires that you are accessible to staff, create an overview and follow up on agreements and decisions.

A key part of the job is to ensure alignment between citizens' needs, staff resources and the department's finances. It requires ongoing budget monitoring, good staffing planning and clear priorities.

There are also new projects underway, including the establishment of an activity and socializing facility under the Social Services Act § 104 in Netværkshuset. You will become part of the work to plan and implement the projects so they get off to a good start and integrate with the rest of the operation.

Your tasks will include

• Oversee the management of 23 staff and support well-being, working environment and professional development.
• Ensure a common direction and good collaboration across locations.
• Follow up on professional quality, documentation and citizens' outcomes of the interventions.
• Ensure control over budget, staffing and resource use.
• Collaborate with the authorities, relatives and other partners.
• Continue work with volunteering and strengthen cooperation with local associations and communities.
• Contribute to the development of the department's offerings and translate political decisions into practice.

Development must happen at a pace and with a prioritization that allows room for both daily operations and new tasks.

About you

We are looking for a leader with a relevant education that provides you with the prerequisites to lead social educators and pedagogues and to be a professional sparring partner in daily operations. You may also have a leadership qualification.

The position offers the opportunity to influence the development of Disability and Social Psychiatry and create a more coherent department based on the services and expertise we already have.

Salary

Salary and employment are in accordance with the applicable collective agreement with the possibility of negotiation based on qualifications. The salary range is 49,500 – 54,500 DKK depending on education, qualifications and experience. Pension is added.

The application deadline is Friday, November 6. We will hold the first round of interviews on November 9 and the second on November 19. Between the two rounds, a personality test will be conducted for candidates who progress.
