AFIS Operator at Sisimiut Airport, Greenland

Greenland Airports is seeking an AFIS Operator for Mittarfik Sisimiut with start date by agreement.

Your tasks

As an AFIS Operator your primary duties will include

• Airfield Flight Information Service (AFIS) and alerting service
• Weather observation service
• Briefing of aircraft and crews
• Administrative tasks, including keeping airport journals
• Participation in the established duty roster
• Call-out for night, weekend and holiday service as needed
• Periodic service at other airports in the Greenland Airports network

We are looking for someone who

• Has a valid AFIS certificate, minimum category AFI
• Is trained as a weather observer
• Has a valid Medical
• Has good IT skills at user level
• Must be able to communicate professionally in Danish and English.
• Greenlandic language skills preferred, but not required
• Is responsible and works in a structured manner
• Thrives in making decisions in a safety-critical function

It is advantageous if you have completed the OJTI course, but this is not a requirement.

Terms of Employment

Employment is conducted according to the agreement between Greenland Airports and the Service Union. Salary and other terms are set according to the applicable rules and qualifications.
