Agricultural Inspectors for Funen and the Islands

Would you like to help the agricultural sector with a competent and good control experience – then you might be the one we are looking for to control tasks on Funen and surrounding islands. There are 2 positions, one with a focus on control tasks within ecology and the area domain, and one with a focus on control tasks within environment, pesticides and the area domain.

You ensure effective control

You want to work in a department with professionally competent colleagues who value both the professional and social aspects.

The work as an inspector requires great independence in planning the controls, carrying out the controls and the subsequent case processing of the tasks you are assigned.

We expect you to both master the authority role out on the farmyard and contribute to the community in the department.

You will receive a thorough introduction and training, so you are equipped for the job’s tasks.

Professional profile with an interest in agriculture

We expect that you

• Have a relevant professional background or education, e.g., agricultural technologist or equivalent
• Maybe have previously worked with the control area or have experience from farming
• Are interested in digital development and have experience with using administrative IT systems
• Thrive working independently
• Have authority and diplomatic sense
• Are structured and can meet tight deadlines
• Can express yourself clearly and distinctly in writing and speech
• Are willing to go the extra mile during busy periods

Control coordination – your new workplace

In control, our main task is to perform inspections including among others ecological farms, the farm’s environmental conditions, area control, feed and fertilizer substances, plant nursery and horticulture control and import and export control.

As an inspector you have flexible working hours and the possibility to drive to the control site from home. Mileage allowance is provided according to state rates.

Terms of employment

Salary and terms of employment are set in accordance with the Organizational Agreement for Agricultural Inspectors in the Danish Agriculture Agency (now the Agency for Green Land Reorganization and Water Environment) and the Danish Veterinary and Food Administration. Base salary including fixed allowances amounts to DKK 32,367.50 per month. There will be an opportunity to negotiate qualification allowances.

The employing area is the Agency for Green Land Reorganization and Water Environment. The place of work is the Agency for Green Land Reorganization and Water Environment, Agerhatten 5F, 5220 Odense SØ.

It is assumed that you have a category B driving license (standard license) and can provide your own car.

These are full-time positions to be filled by 1 January 2027.
