About the job

Do you want to work on Copenhagen's development in the climate, environment and technical area?

We are seeking six employees who will develop and coordinate the work on 12 local action plans across the districts of Copenhagen.

The Climate, Environment and Technical Administration in the City of Copenhagen is in the process of realizing the political vision Our Copenhagen . Eight strategies within, among others, architecture, mobility and urban nature must be translated into action plans with concrete initiatives in Copenhagen's local areas.

To coordinate and create momentum in the work, a vision secretariat has been established, and we are now seeking six additional colleagues who will help develop and implement the work with the 12 new local action plans.

A central role in the development of Copenhagen

By the end of 2027, politicians, citizens and the administration should be able to get one overall picture of how strategic ambitions can be translated into concrete local action in 12 districts (organized by local committees).

The concept for the local action plans was politically approved in August, and now the new concept must be put into practice. The local action plans are a completely new and ambitious way of working in the administration and must, among other things, ensure that the vision's theme of collaborating on the development of Copenhagen is supported.

Read more about the local action plans

You will become part of the team responsible for the overall coordination and drafting – in collaboration with both internal professional staff and representatives of the districts. You will have responsibility for developing one or more local action plans in close collaboration with professional units, local committees, Copenhagen residents and other relevant actors.

You will have both independent responsibility for concrete local areas and participate in a shared professional work where we develop methods, processes and content across the 12 action plans.

The Vision Secretariat is a cross-cutting secretariat in the Climate, Environment and Technical Administration and works closely with management, managers and professional units. You will therefore have the opportunity to work with many different actors, professional disciplines and organizational perspectives.

Your tasks

You will, among other things, work with

  • facilitation of cross-disciplinary project groups with professional staff
  • dialogue with local committees and their secretariats as well as possibly other local actors with a view to involving local perspectives in the development of the action plans
  • concrete planning, coordination and execution of joint Copenhagen involvement with the local committees
  • collaboration with staff functions on a web solution for disseminating the action plans as well as use and visualization of relevant data
  • coordination and servicing of steering groups for the strategies as well as general involvement and dialogue with managers and employees in the Climate, Environment and Technical Administration
  • finalization, consultation and political adoption of the local action plans
  • ensure organizational anchoring, ongoing updating and planning of the next period for the local action plans based on evaluations

Who are you?

We are looking for different profiles, because we believe that the tasks are best solved in a multidisciplinary collaboration, where different profiles can complement each other. Perhaps you have experience with strategic implementation, process leadership and development – or perhaps you have solid experience as a generalist from a politically governed organization, are particularly passionate about local collaborations and citizen involvement or have experience with urban development in the usual sense?

We do not expect you to know everything, but we value that you

  • have an academic education and experience from a politically governed organization or another relevant workplace
  • have experience with strategy, implementation, development and process leadership or working with co-creation and local involvement
  • can create direction and bring people together around common goals across disciplines
  • can navigate in complex processes with many professional, organizational and political considerations
  • can create structure, direction, momentum and meet timelines
  • can collaborate and coordinate across disciplines and with different actors
  • can think both strategically and in concrete solutions
  • build trustful relations, communicate clearly and understand how to convey complex issues to different target groups
  • thrive in development tasks where you also proactively contribute constructively to developing the product within the given framework
  • work independently and at the same time contribute actively to the joint task solution

A new professional environment

You will become part of a new team that, together, will solve a task with significant political and managerial attention. You will have the opportunity to work across the many professional areas of climate, environment and technology and contribute to strengthening collaboration and prioritization across. You will have the opportunity to influence both tasks, methods and forms of cooperation.

We offer

  • meaningful tasks with impact for the whole of Copenhagen
  • a strong cross-disciplinary collaboration across the administration
  • close collaboration with management, professional units, local committees and other actors
  • an opportunity to develop your competencies and leave your mark on a new way of working
  • an opportunity to join an ambitious new task in the administration with great political, managerial and professional attention with the possibility to influence the task and develop your skills

We place emphasis on succeeding together – while the individual takes responsibility for their own tasks. And we have fun along the way, because we believe job satisfaction goes hand in hand with good solutions.

Employment terms

You will be employed under the applicable collective agreement, and salary will be set after negotiations with your professional organization. These are permanent positions, all positions are full-time and with start on 1 January 2027 or as agreed. We offer good possibilities for remote work and flexibility in daily life with up to two remote work days per week. However full attendance is expected during the start-up period.

The workplace is the Climate, Environment and Technical Administration (KTF), City of Copenhagen. The Vision Secretariat works across all departments, but is organizationally located in the Department of Climate and Urban Development in the Analysis Unit.

In your application you may describe which professional focus you are especially interested in and how your experiences match the tasks.
