Alert night shift for a boy in need of calm and care

Do you have experience with awake night shifts and children without verbal language? We are looking for permanent staff who can create calm and security through the night.

Om opgaven

The task is with a boy with cerebral palsy and epilepsy. He has no walking function and communicates without verbal language, among other things through sounds. He uses a special stroller and a baby pram.

You come in in the evening and help to get him ready for the night and put him to sleep. Thereafter you are awake throughout the shift and attentive to his needs. He typically wakes several times during the night and may need water, comfort and help to regain calm.

The boy has reflux and can therefore throw up. In addition, personal care includes diaper changes.

The purpose of the intervention is to create a safe night for the boy and at the same time give the parents relief and continuous sleep.

You are unskilled with relevant experience. It is an advantage if you have previously worked as awake night shift and have experience with children who communicate without verbal language.

In the assignment it is important that you can remain calm and be attentive to the boy's signals and needs. You meet him with care and presence and thrive working independently at night.

Arbejdstid

The position is 28.5 hours every other weekend spread over three awake night shifts

Friday 20:30–06:00

Saturday 20:30–06:00

Sunday 20:30–06:00

Two permanent employees are sought; in time more night shifts per week are expected.

Salary and pension according to the National Agreement for handicapped assistance in citizens' own homes (minus BPA) concluded between FOA and Dansk Erhverv. You are covered by DUOS’ liability and work injury insurance and health insurance is part of your pension scheme.
