About the job
Do you want to strengthen your quantitative and/or qualitative methods in practice? Are you a sharp communicator with a sense for clear communication? Would you contribute to creating knowledge that makes a difference for some of the country's most marginalized groups?
Then you are the one we are looking for!
An internship at Als Research is for university students who want to put their academic competencies into play on the labor market.
The internship is for you who can immerse yourself in background research, develop survey design, and collect and analyze data about and with different target groups and actors. As an intern with us you get a wide range of tasks that match your interests and competencies. It can include data collection, processing and analysis, reporting, development of a theory of change, proposal writing etc.
In the autumn you will have the opportunity to work on a number of exciting projects, e.g. evaluations of social interventions for vulnerable groups, studies concerning negative social control and honor-related conflicts, knowledge sharing with civil society organizations, and mapping of behavior and attitudes in the social sector.
About Als Research

- Are proactive and outgoing and can work independently to solve different kinds of tasks.
- Are currently pursuing a social science or humanities advanced degree such as Sociology, Political Science or Anthropology. If you are studying something entirely different, we would also very much like to hear how what you have learned can be used with us. Experience with one or more of our fields of work is an advantage.
Practical
- Working hours & Period: The internship is 37 hours per week. The program begins tentatively February 1, 2027 and ends June 25, 2027.
