About the job

The position is placed in Finance & Support, which takes care of the municipality's central and cross-cutting functions within Finance & Procurement, IT & Digitalization, HR & Law as well as Policy & Leadership. We are a department with high professionalism, good development opportunities and a strong collaborative culture across the organization.

As Contract Manager you will play a central role in developing and professionalizing the municipality's contract management. The position is newly established, giving you the opportunity to influence both the tasks and the future development of the area.

You will become part of a small, professionally strong team consisting of a lawyer, a procurement and purchasing consultant and you. Together we handle the municipality's tenders, procurement and contract management and continuously work to develop the area so the municipality gets the greatest possible value from its agreements. We help each other in day-to-day work, share knowledge and place emphasis on close collaboration, where professional sparring is a natural part of solving tasks.

With an increased focus on public procurement and contract management, you will also be an important partner across the organization. You must therefore be willing to engage in many relationships and contribute to setting the agenda across the organization.

Your tasks

There will be the possibility to tailor tasks and responsibilities to the individual candidate. You cannot necessarily check off all points, but the tasks will be largely composed from the items below:

• Prepare management information and consumption analyses that create insight into the organization's use of agreements, suppliers and purchasing patterns
• Support the municipality's overall contract management including IT contracts with focus on compliance with contract terms and ongoing follow-up
• Analyze purchasing and consumption data to identify savings and optimization opportunities
• Carry out cross-cutting risk and compliance analyses of the contract portfolio
• Segment contracts by value, complexity and risk level to support prioritization and governance
• Conduct invoice verification and ensure that invoicing occurs in accordance with the entered agreements

Your educational background is not decisive. The most important thing is that you have the will and ability to work with contract management in a complex organization and translate data and analyses into concrete improvements.

• Have experience with contract management, procurement or tendering – preferably from a public authority
• Have knowledge of public procurement and tender rules or a desire to build this knowledge
• Are curious, persistent and solution-oriented
• Thrive with both independent tasks and close collaboration with colleagues and stakeholders

Salary and terms of employment

You will be paid according to the applicable collective agreement and as agreed with the organization entitled to negotiate. We are a family-friendly workplace with flexible working hours and the possibility of remote work.
