About the job

To a leading robotics technology company

Technicon A/S is seeking a technically strong and business-oriented chief accountant or finance director who is ready for the next step as CFO. You will have the overall responsibility for the company’s financial management and will at the same time be an active sparring partner for the management, project management and the organization.

Here you will have the opportunity to develop from a strong accounting and financial profile into a broad CFO role. You will strengthen financial transparency, optimize project economics and ensure that financial decisions are made on a solid and timely basis. The role combines strategic sparring with management and operational work close to the projects, where value creation and risks arise.

The role

As Chief Accountant you will be responsible for the finance function and for further developing the company’s financial governance. A significant part of the task will be to ensure that the management and project organization have the necessary decision basis to manage contracts, projects, risks, liquidity and profitability effectively.

You must be able to challenge, guide and support the organization in optimizing project economics – particularly regarding contract understanding, risk management, budgeting, follow-up, change management and ongoing assessment of contribution margin and bottom-line effects.

In addition, you will play an important role in ensuring that the company’s system support matches the financial governance needs. Knowledge of Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central is an advantage. The most important is that you have strong ERP competencies and a desire to develop the area.

You will become a visible and capable leader of the finance function. You must be able to create structure, ensure high professional quality and at the same time develop employees and collaboration interfaces, so that the finance function is perceived as a value-creating partner for the entire company. The role gives you the opportunity to expand your leadership experience and your strategic responsibility.

Key areas of responsibility

  • Overall responsibility for finance, accounting, reporting, budgeting, forecasting and liquidity management.
  • Development and strengthening of the company’s financial reporting and management information.
  • Active sparring with management and project management on project economics, contract economics and profitability optimization.
  • Ensuring better financial governance in projects, including budget follow-up, risk assessment, cash flow, changes, claims and margin development.
  • Contributing to sharper commercial decisions in connection with bids, contracts and project execution.
  • Leadership and development of the finance function with a focus on professionalism, accountability and business understanding.
  • Ensure that the finance function supports the organization with clear processes, timely reporting and useful analyses.
  • Work purposefully to create understanding in the organization that all functions contribute to the company’s bottom line.
  • Contact with the auditor, bank, authorities and other external partners.
  • Actively contribute to the company’s strategic development together with management.

The ideal candidate

You are currently working, for example, as chief accountant, finance director, finance manager or in another senior financial role and are ready to take on broader responsibility as CFO in due course. Experience from a project-oriented company is an advantage, just as experience from technical companies, contracting, industry, engineering, automation, installation, construction or other contract- and project-based business will be relevant.

You have a strong financial toolkit and understand – or have a clear desire to delve into – the connection between contracts, project execution, liquidity, risks and profitability. You can translate financial data into clear decision proposals and are prepared to challenge the organization constructively when project economics require it.

As a person you are clear, professional and collaborative. You have professional influence and the ambition to develop yourself as a leader and strategic sparring partner. You understand that the finance function should not only control but also actively contribute to better decisions and better results.

Professional qualifications

  • Relevant financial education, for example cand.merc., HD-R, HD-F, CMA, cand.oecon. or an equivalent relevant background.
  • Documented experience with financial management; experience from a project- or contract-based business is a clear advantage.
  • Good understanding of project economy, contracts, risk management and margin optimization – or motivation to quickly acquire the necessary depth.
  • Experience with budgets, forecasts, reporting, cash flow and management information.
  • Solid accounting understanding and experience with year-end, audit and controlling.
  • Experience with people management or clear leadership potential and a desire to develop the finance function.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central is an advantage, but strong experience with other ERP systems can also be relevant.
  • Experience with implementation, further development or optimization of Business Central or other ERP solutions, including processes, reporting, financial management and integration with other business systems.
  • Strong IT and ERP competencies and ability to optimize processes, data structures and reporting tools.

Personal competencies

  • Clear and trustworthy with ambition to develop as a leader.
  • Commercially oriented and motivated to get closer to the business.
  • Analytically strong and structured.
  • Good at creating overview and prioritizing.
  • Capable of challenging constructively at all levels.
  • Strong communicator who can make finance understandable and relevant to the project organization.
  • Action-oriented, curious and persistent.
  • Ambitious for your own, the team’s and the company’s sake.

Success criteria

You succeed in the role when Technicon A/S has a finance function that not only delivers correct reporting but actively contributes to better project management, stronger contract economics and improved profitability.

You have created greater financial transparency in the projects, strengthened collaboration between finance, management and the project organization, and left a clear professional mark on the company’s financial governance. At the same time, you have developed into a broad and business-oriented CFO profile.

Technicon offers

Technicon offers a significant career step for an experienced chief accountant or finance director who is eventually ready for the CFO responsibility. You will have a real opportunity to influence both the financial direction, the professional standard and the commercial development. As part of the management, you will hold a key position in strengthening the company’s profitability, decision-making power and future development.

Who we are

TECHNICON is driven by a strong camaraderie among curious employees. We deliver robotics and automation solutions to both large and small customers and are specialists in user-friendly solutions where the interaction between people and technology is in focus. The culture is characterized by dynamism, cross-functional collaboration and a short path from idea to action in a young and engaged environment.

We are experiencing increased demand from our clients for structured project execution, strong quality processes, and clear requirement traceability. That’s why we’re expanding our team with a Quality & Validation Engineer who can ensure clarity, consistency, and compliance across our project documentation and validation activities.

You’ll be working closely with our existing Quality & Validation Engineer and will be part of our Compliance department, ensuring strong alignment between project execution, quality standards, and regulatory requirements. You’ll always have a sparring partner who shares your passion for structure, quality, and well-executed projects.
