About the job
Would you like to be part of an ambitious and professional working community, where together we create the best framework for the youngest students' learning, curiosity and joy of movement? Are you passionate about mathematics and could you in the future contribute to science/nature technology – and do you have ambitions for both your own and the children's sake? Then it might be you we are looking for.
We are seeking an engaged teacher for our early years department, who will take a central role in planning and delivering motivating mathematics instruction for 4th and 5th grade. It would also be a clear advantage if you have a specialization or competences to teach in science/technology, physical education and/or cultural subjects. You will become part of a strong team of 5th grade, where we work closely together on the students' learning and well-being.
We are looking for a teacher who wants more than teaching. You are curious about your own practice, motivated to develop the instruction and actively contribute to the community. You thrive in collaboration with colleagues, but also take responsibility and initiative when new ideas need to be translated into practice. You will have a number of CO-teaching hours, where you, together with colleagues, plan and carry out mathematics teaching for a year level.
At Holte School we work in professional learning communities where we develop teaching together, share knowledge and learn from one another. We have high academic ambitions, a strong collegial collaboration and a shared focus on creating participation opportunities and learning for all students.
We prioritise giving you a good start. Therefore you will be part of an introduction programme with a mentor, thorough onboarding and support for both practical and pedagogical tasks, so you are well equipped for the core task.
Your future colleagues look forward to getting to know you and to being inspired by your ideas and your energy. We engage in each other's teaching, work systematically with project-based learning (PBL) throughout the school year and have a culture where sparring and professional development is a natural part of everyday life.
With us, a strong professional community is a prerequisite for high quality. Therefore we expect everyone to contribute actively to the school's professional and organizational community.
Holte School is spread across two campuses – Grünersvej and Rønnebærvej – with just 300 metres between them. The position is located on Rønnebærvej.
As a teacher at Holte School you will become part of a school with
- ca. 1,000 engaged pupils with a desire to learn and participate
- ca. 150 skilled and engaged colleagues
- strong professional learning communities with a focus on development
- an active and positive parent group
- a supportive and presence-based leadership
- a working environment with room for both ambition and community
- a ongoing focus on competency development – among other things through our annual pedagogical weekend.
We are looking for you who
- are ambitious and want to make a difference for the youngest students
- work relationally and see the value in each child's development
- actively contribute to the community and the development of teaching
- create participation opportunities for all through varied and differentiated instruction
- have a focus on wellbeing, learning and movement during the school day
- would like to be able to teach physical education or are keen to participate in the school’s sports-related environment.
You will become part of a school in Rudersdal Municipality, which is an Apple municipality, and you will therefore be equipped with both a MacBook and an iPad.
