An enthusiastic teacher for a fixed-term position until the summer holidays in visual arts (2nd grade), English, history and German (intermediate) for Herningsholmsk

Herningsholmskolen is seeking a skilled, qualified teacher on 37 hours per week with starting date 1 November 2026 or as soon as possible thereafter.

Herningsholmskolen is centrally located in the town of Herning with about 550 happy students, of whom about 65 children attend our special department for pupils with general learning difficulties and about 80 children attend our department at Holtbjerg. At the school we are about 110 staff from different professional groups.

The school is characterized by placing a high emphasis on community, we prioritise academic excellence and regard diversity as an important strength. At the school there is a friendly and cordial tone of interaction among students, parents and staff, among colleagues with one another and between management and employees, which we experience as a prerequisite for well-being for both children and adults.

As mentioned, we are seeking a teacher who can teach art, history, English and German. You will here become part of a strong Year 6 team, and you will have some skilled colleagues to brainstorm with.

You must be inclusive, collaborative and good at communicating with students, parents, colleagues and management. At the same time you must “burn” for your subjects and for students' learning, development and well-being. At all year levels there is close collaboration with other teachers in the year group and it is therefore also expected that you are willing to share and discuss your experiences with your colleagues.
