About the job

The Danish Confederation of Trade Unions (FH) seeks an analysis consultant

Are you passionate about finding patterns in numbers, data and knowledge – and about translating analyses into insights that can be felt and used? Do you see trends where others see endless rows of numbers or piles of information? And can you find the sharp angle, choose the right format and frame the channel that brings the analyses to life?

We are looking for an analysis consultant who will help elevate FH's data-driven analytical work, aimed at strengthening membership engagement with the trade union movement and analyses supporting FH’s political advocacy. You should be able to conduct solid analyses of, for example, member development and churn and the population’s attitudes based on register data and surveys. And you must have the ability to communicate the insights, share them and put them to use where they can make a difference.

About the job

You will become part of FH’s Organising & Development team, where we work closely together to strengthen the trade union movement's ability to organise, develop and create change. The team works with organising, analyses, organisational capacity building, major political and organisational events, youth work, local work and support for elected representatives.

You will analyse member development and member churn and contribute with knowledge about what strengthens engagement with the trade union movement. This happens in close collaboration with colleagues on the team and FH’s member organisations. In addition to the analysis task, you will also help drive and lift various projects.

At the same time you will plan and carry out population measurements and analyses that support FH’s policy development, public affairs and communication. In close collaboration with colleagues across FH you will analyse the attitudes and experiences of the population and workers and identify the insights that can qualify FH’s political proposals, strengthen our arguments and set agendas in the public debate. The role requires you to take independent responsibility and drive tasks forward – but you will be far from working alone.

You should be willing to work in a political environment where agendas can shift quickly and where development cannot always be predicted. This requires both an overview, adaptability and flexibility.

You will, among other things, be responsible for

  • Analysing member development and member churn and examining patterns and differences across the trade union movement’s member groups.
  • Translating member analyses into knowledge that can be used to develop and target organising efforts in collaboration with FH’s member organisations.
  • Planning and carrying out population measurements – from survey design and questionnaires to analysis and communication.
  • Translating population measurements into insights that strengthen FH’s policy development, public affairs and communication.
  • Contributing ideas for new analyses and surveys based on organisational needs and current political agendas.
  • Communicating results clearly and precisely with a view to the audience, angle and format.
  • Participating in projects that develop, test and strengthen organising across FH’s member organisations.
  • Working closely with colleagues in FH House and member organisations so analyses and projects become a shared direction and concrete action.

About you

We imagine that you

  • Have a master's degree within the broad range of social sciences.
  • Have experience in handling and analysing large data sets and finding patterns in development, movements and differences between groups.
  • Have experience with surveys and an understanding of question formulation, representativeness and statistical uncertainty.
  • Have strong analytical abilities, a curious approach to the world and a desire to communicate so others notice what is essential.
  • Are a strong communicator who can translate numbers and insights into oral presentations and contributions to notes, articles, infographics etc.
  • Are thorough, credible and take pride in delivering quality.
  • Value collaboration and sparring and proactively contribute with ideas and angles.
  • Are independent, structured and take responsibility for progress.
  • Are driven by a desire to make a difference for workers in Denmark.
  • Are curious about or have experience in applying AI tools in your work.
