About the job

Are you our upcoming anesthesiology nurse colleague at SUH?

As many of your colleagues do, we think you want a balance between work and leisure. With us, it is a cornerstone to accommodate your wishes, both when it comes to shifts and professional development. We prioritize you and your colleagues' wishes highly and strive to meet wishes for shifts, development, and career.

Help shape the future of SUH

Now you have a special opportunity to become part of the community in the Anesthesiology Department at SUH, at a time when we are soon coming together and becoming Nyt SUH. By starting now, you get the opportunity to help shape our future department. This means that we can offer a 37-hour per week position (minimum 32 hours), either in Køge or in Roskilde.

Starting in Roskilde, the employment will continue in Køge after the merger. Starting in Køge, you remain on the campus. A common feature for both employments is that you will join a new department in Køge after the merger – this will happen for all colleagues.

Roskilde is planned to move to Køge University Hospital in early 2028, and thereby a new Central Operating Room (COP) and a new Day Surgery Department (DK) will open. This means that we will have almost all surgical specialties in-house with a few exceptions. So if you have a wish to nurture your professional interests, either as a generalist or more into deepening in some selected specialties, there are many opportunities at Nyt SUH.

A strong professional and collegial community

It matters a lot to us that you are an anesthesiology nurse who wants to join a large work community and be a team player, both within the department and across disciplines. You should also be willing to collaborate across campuses, thereby helping to build a bridge between our current departments into Nyt SUH.

If you are tempted by this opportunity, know that regardless of your wishes and needs, we will develop an onboarding program that fits you perfectly.

Who are you?

What we want from you is a colleague who;

  • Values professionalism and development
  • Values integrity and collaboration for the community
  • Wants to be an active contributor to our new SUH, and to our job satisfaction
  • Is Danish authorized as an anesthesiology nurse

Opportunities in Køge

In Køge it will be possible to choose whether you want to be assigned only to the Day Surgery Department (DK), without shifts on weekends/holidays from the start, or whether you want to participate across all specialties and functions in rotating shifts including weekends/holidays.

In Køge we provide anesthesia for between 20-22 operating rooms in the specialties of orthopedic surgery, podiatric surgery, spine surgery, organ surgery, bariatrics, cancer- and robot-assisted surgery. We have one of the largest trauma receptions in Region Zealand, and have a team focused on optimizing our function in relation to trauma. We also have regional functions in dental-oral-maxillofacial surgery and ear-nose-throat surgery, where many of our pediatric anesthesia cases occur.

We also have several external functions, including MR scanning, endoscopic examinations/treatment, assistance to children in examinations in the clinical physiology department, etc. Your professional interests can therefore be diverse and many.

Working hours on weekdays are between 7.00-18.00. Regular daytime shift is from 7.30-15.30, and late shift is from 10-18. Some irregular shifts may also occur e.g. 7-15 or a “long” from 7.30-18. It is also here that the workload planning comes into play😉

We have a colleague on evening shift every day of the year and two colleagues on 16-hour shifts, who report at 15.15. With a 16-hour shift, you are at the duty room after 23.15. As a full-time employee you can expect about 3-4 shifts including 1 weekend per month, otherwise mainly daytime and weekday work.

Opportunities in Roskilde

In Roskilde there is a high degree of professional versatility, spanning from smaller elective as well as acute procedures to more complex surgery such as elective aortic aneurysms, micro-surgery, and robot-assisted operations.

We provide anesthesia for urological, gynecological, obstetric, vascular, breast, plastic, and ophthalmic specialties as well as in the day surgery department.

We serve a number of external functions, such as MR scanners, bronchoscopies in the medical outpatient clinic, cardiology outpatient clinic, and for ECT treatments at Fjorden.

Daytime hours in Roskilde are 7.30-15.30 with few late shifts until 16.30 and some until 18.00. Weekday shifts are 16 hours, with access to the duty room from 23, and on weekends there are 24-hour shifts with access from the duty room from 17. You mostly work daytime, and full-time employees have about 1 shift per week.

Send only a short application and your CV

We are primarily interested in hearing about your motivation to join our community, as well as your competencies. Therefore, please send a short application and your CV, and these will together form the basis for the decision on a deeper interview.

State in the application whether you wish to start your employment in Køge or in Roskilde .

Please ring if you have questions. You are also very welcome to visit our departments, take a tour and have a chat. We happily offer you a cup of coffee.

We look forward to welcoming you as our new colleague, and to creating an exciting future together with a strong collegial community filled with professionalism and job satisfaction.
