Do you want to build on your experience as a veterinary nurse and develop your competencies in a specialized animal hospital with many different disciplines and patient pathways?

We are seeking a licensed veterinary nurse with experience from clinical small animal practice, who would like to become part of our hospital and our professional community. We are a steady group of skilled and stable veterinary nurses, but as we continue to grow, we need you who loves to work with motivating and developing people.

We are looking for a veterinary nurse who will both be part of the floor team and at the same time work on the continued development of a smaller group of nurses.

About the position

The position is for you who have already built a clinical foundation as a veterinary nurse and now wish to build on your competencies. We would very much like you to have leadership experience, perhaps not as formal education but gladly practical experience – we will help and support you in the ongoing process. Your most important job is to engage staff, spot their talents and help create a healthy working environment.

As a nurse we seek a colleague who wants to continue developing professionally. It can be within anesthesia and analgesia, but it can also be within other areas of the hospital. The most important thing is that you are curious, motivated and eager to build on your clinical foundation.

We have skilled and experienced veterinary nurses with different professional competencies. You will therefore become part of an environment where there are good opportunities for professional sparring, peer learning and development, regardless of which professional direction you want to build on.

We are an advanced animal hospital where work with complex surgical and medical patients is a natural part of daily life. Many of our patients require special attention regarding anesthesia, analgesia and medical treatment and care, and you will have the opportunity to work with patients and procedures of varying complexity as your competencies develop.

The position also includes many of the classic tasks for a veterinary nurse at an animal hospital – tasks that contribute to ensuring our daily operation and readiness to handle the next patient, client or referring colleague.

On-call is part of the position

Participation in our on-call scheme is a fixed part of the employment.

Therefore it is important that you already have clinical experience and a solid foundation to build on. You do not necessarily need to have worked on call before. If the on-call part is new to you, we will provide introduction and training so you are well prepared for the task.

The on-call work also provides an opportunity to build on your competencies within emergency care, anesthesia and handling of acutely and critically ill patients.

In time we aim for a model where the hospital can be staffed with a veterinary nurse 24/7. You should therefore be aware that working hours going forward may also include planned work in the evening and night. This work time will then be part of your normal working time and subject to collective agreement terms.
