AP Pension seeks a Product Designer with strong UI skills for digital solutions

At AP Pension, we are undergoing a comprehensive digital transformation, where we develop new digital products, rethink existing solutions and strengthen the overall customer experience. Therefore we are looking for an experienced Product Designer with strong UI skills, who is passionate about design systems, visual design and digital user experiences.

You will be the driving force behind the development of our design system and will play a central role in ensuring high design quality, consistency and scalability in our digital solutions. At the same time you translate complex business and user needs into intuitive and value-creating customer experiences.

You have an eye for both detail and the big picture and work confidently with user flows, prototypes and validation of design solutions. You translate insights and requirements into well-crafted experiences that create value for both customers and the business.

About the job

At AP Pension we develop digital solutions for private customers, companies and partners across portals, app and self-service.

We are a team and an organisation in development. Therefore you fit well into an environment with many tasks, shifting priorities and tight deadlines. You are pragmatic, take responsibility and are motivated by creating momentum and getting things done.

As a Product Designer you will be responsible for driving and further developing our design system. You develop components, patterns and design principles, ensure consistency between platforms and actively work to strengthen the design quality in our digital solutions.

You design visually strong, responsive and accessible solutions in Figma and translate user needs and business goals into concrete design solutions. In close collaboration with our UX designers, Product Owners, business analysts, digital consultants and developers you ensure that the experiences hang together from idea to implementation.

An important part of the role is to challenge requirements and solution proposals with a focus on user needs, design principles and data. You design everything from components and digital user interfaces to user flows and interactive prototypes. In addition you validate solutions through user testing and other relevant feedback. In this way you ensure that we create the best possible user experience.

In addition you contribute to the development of our design principles, workflows and cross-disciplinary collaboration and help raise the level of design professionalism in the organisation.

AI as part of the design process

We are still early in the work of integrating AI into our design processes. Therefore we are looking for a profile with practical experience of AI in design work and who wants to help shape how we apply the technology responsibly and value-creating.

AI can, for example, be used to analyze and structure user insights, explore solution directions and draft quick concepts, flows and prototypes. It can also be used in the work with design assets, design systems, documentation, workshops and user testing.

We place emphasis on AI usage being supported by high quality, data security, human judgement and genuine user involvement.

Your profile

We imagine that you

• Have several years of relevant experience with digital product design, typically at least 5 years.
• Have solid experience with UI design, visual design and concept development.
• Have extensive experience with Figma and work professionally with developing, maintaining and further developing design systems and component libraries
• Can translate complex needs into simple and intuitive digital solutions.
• Have a clearly strong visual understanding and work in a structured way with consistency and detail.
• Have experience with user flows, prototypes, usability testing, responsive design and digital accessibility.
• Understand the interplay between design and development and can justify your design choices to both the business and developers.
• Work independently and at the same time thrive in close cross-functional collaboration.
• Have applied AI concretely in your design work and can show examples of how it has improved your work or deliverables.

It is an advantage if you have experience with complex digital self-service solutions, apps and mobile user experiences or have worked in agile product teams. It can also be an advantage if you have experience with external development suppliers, a regulated industry or facilitating workshops and design processes.

The crucial thing is not your current title, but that you have a solid design discipline foundation and can document how you have created good digital products in practice.
