About the job
Department 2043 is seeking a Sterilisation Assistant for our well-functioning Reprocessing Unit.
The position is a 32-37 hour per week appointment with mixed evening and day shifts, where you have weekends off and all calendar holidays.
We are a larger operating room with 14 operating theatres, where we operate within the specialties of urology, abdominal- and vascular surgery. In addition, we assist in trauma and transplant surgery.
Your areas of work will primarily be in the department's reprocessing unit with responsibility for care, cleaning and sterilization of our instruments for surgical procedures.
The reprocessing unit is an independent unit in our department, and it functions well in close collaboration with the operating room nurses and the ward management. As part of the reprocessing unit you will have influence on the daily workflows and thereby help develop the area so that we ensure that the unit is always run safely and with high professional quality and in accordance with KVATSU guidelines.
We can offer you
- To become an important part of our department with a large and engaged multidisciplinary staff
- A thorough introduction and training in the department
- Sparring and supervision as needed
- Professional challenges and good opportunity for professional development
- A dedicated working environment that focuses on our patients
We would like you to
- Preferably have experience from another operating room/reprocessing unit
- Be engaged and flexible
- Have the desire to work in the reprocessing unit
- Be committed to carefully maintaining our instruments
- Have an interest in quality assurance
- Be an active part of a good and multidisciplinary working environment
If you would like to hear more about the department, you are welcome to contact Chief Nurse Camilla Vejlstup (tel. 3545 1871)
