About the job

Do you take pride in delivering the best member service and quality within work-related injury and liability cases? Then you are the person we are looking for for the Advice & Negotiation department. You will be employed either at our office in Aarhus or at the Copenhagen office, and the employment is for 30 hours with the possibility of more or fewer hours. Who are we looking for?

We are looking for a consultant with experience in work-related injury and liability cases and preferably knowledge of the sick leave, flex jobs, and pension areas. Perhaps you have experience in the field of work-related injuries from the union movement, or you are employed in a sick leave department and have also carried out specific occupational health tasks.

You must be a strong communicator – both verbally and in writing – so you can provide the association’s members with competent case handling and advice and translate complex legislation into understandable language.

What are your responsibilities?

You will, in close collaboration with our members, carry out case handling of work-related injury and liability cases, as well as follow-up cases within sick leave, flex jobs, and the pension area.

You will be responsible for your own case portfolio and be involved in the entire case process, which includes writing complaints, assisting with answering questionnaires, and preparing responses to party hearings.

In addition, there will be teaching and dissemination of knowledge about the area, including reporting and case-handling procedures to other consultants in DS and to members.

You must, in addition to providing professional advice at a high level, be able to support our members who often find themselves in a crisis because, for example, they have been subjected to threats, long-term stress, or physical work-related injuries.

Who are you?

We expect you to be able to work independently, be proactive, responsible, structured, and eager to contribute to the association’s work.

You should be good at difficult conversations, and it is a big advantage to have a thorough knowledge of sick leave, flex jobs, and pensions as well as work-related injuries and liability.

Your educational background is social worker or equivalent level.

Who are we?

Dansk Socialrådgiverforening is an ambitious trade union experiencing rapid development. We have recently consolidated our administration into a common unit with the aim of ensuring a strong value proposition within member service and advice, from the first member consultant to local negotiations and to more complex negotiation tasks.

You will become part of a nationwide Occupational Injury Team that collaborates across the Danish Association of Social Workers internally and externally with joint union representatives, contact representatives, occupational safety representatives, and lawyers regarding liability cases.

We place high value on community, even if we are not located at the same site, and we collaborate on cases to achieve the best professional results for our members.

You will become part of a team where openness, knowledge sharing, collaboration, engagement, and mutual respect are important values. The work environment is informal, the tone is friendly and relaxed with room for smiles and laughter in a busy daily life.

What do we offer?

We emphasize secure and stable frameworks around our work with flexible working hours and the possibility of remote work, so your work can be arranged to fit your private life.

You will have ample opportunity to develop and specialize professionally and personally through competence development, collaboration, and your task execution, and we are happy to help you realize your ambitions.

Salary and terms of employment are attractive and set in our internal agreement with DJÓF. We expect your weekly working time to be 30 hours including a lunch break.

As a starting point, you will be based in Aarhus, but the job occasionally requires you to travel around Denmark, so you should have a car available from time to time.
