At Egehøj we are seeking a committed social pedagogue who wishes to make a difference for adults with significant physical and mental disabilities.

Egehøj is in an exciting development. We work purposefully to strengthen our professional foundation, create a strong work community and ensure high quality in the support for the citizens. Therefore we are seeking a social pedagogue who wants to help shape the footprint on future Egehøj.

Who are we?

Egehøj is a residential facility in Bjerringbro with space for 22 residents distributed over three houses: Albo, Nord and Syd. Currently there are 19 residents at the facility.

With us, the residents are at home, and we are guests. Therefore we meet each resident with respect, recognition and curiosity. We work to ensure that residents experience as much self-determination, quality of life and influence on their own lives.

What does your role involve?

When a new resident moves in with us, the support needs are already identified. Our task is to find the best approaches and methods so that the resident preserves their resources, experiences a meaningful everyday life and has the opportunity for continued development.

You will become part of the daily operations at Egehøj and join on an equal footing with your colleagues in the tasks around the residents.

The residents receive support including

• Social interaction and communities
• Leisure activities and activity offerings
• Development and maintenance of skills
• Communication via verbal and nonverbal forms of communication
• Personal hygiene and daily tasks
• Medication management and health support
• Finance, shopping and practical tasks
• Accompaniment to doctors, dentists and other activities

As a social pedagogue we also expect you to bring your particular special pedagogical expertise into play through relationship work, social-pedagogical initiatives, documentation and development of the pedagogical practice.

Practical information

The position is 30-37 hours per week by agreement.

The working hours are distributed over day and evening shifts, and work every third weekend can be expected.

Salary and employment terms

Salary is set on the basis of the applicable collective agreement and a concrete assessment of your education, your documented work experience and your professional and personal qualifications.
