Næstved Free School is currently seeking an engaged teacher primarily for the upper grades with commencement on 1 December 2026, but preferably earlier.

We are a school that, through democracy, gives children the opportunity to develop independence, trust, respect and responsibility. We place great emphasis on the joy of learning, curiosity, engagement and, not least, a lively community. Your primary affiliation will be with the upper grades, where you will teach and prepare for exams in the subjects Danish, Social Studies and History. In addition, there will be opportunities to teach other exciting subjects, which we develop together – and together with the children.

We are therefore looking for a teacher who

We expect that you have

• Good relationship-building skills and the ability to create a safe foundation for the children.
• A desire to work closely with educators and teachers in the upper grades – as well as the rest of the school staff.
• A wish to contribute ideas for the development of teaching in close collaboration with the children.

We are a small, well-functioning school in Rislev with a positive spirit and a strong sense of community, where there is always room to grow. The school has existed for over 26 years and has 124 children spread across grades 0-9. Today we are 17 staff members, all working closely together to create a good and safe everyday life for the children.
