About the job
Would you like to help make complex construction projects understandable and assemble many professional inputs into a strong proposal? At Christiansen & Essenbæk A/S we are seeking a PQ and bid coordinator who is strong at writing, listening and creating structure. You will become part of the bids department and play a central role in translating professional knowledge into clear and convincing bids.
We are a medium-sized, foundation-owned specialized contracting company with activities across most of Denmark. Concrete is our primary specialty, but we also work in areas such as injection, earth and sewer, foundation, as well as demolition and environmental remediation. Common to our tasks is a high degree of professionalism and specialized knowledge.
Experience from the construction industry and similar roles is an advantage but not a requirement. The decisive factor is that you are curious, can understand complex material, and have an eye for people, processes and effective communication.
You should not just write a bid You will be responsible for the parts of our bids where communication, understanding and presentation are crucial. At the same time you will have an important coordinating role and help keep the process together from start to finish.
Your tasks will include
- Coordination of bid processes and prequalification (PQ)
- Collection and processing of input from professional specialists
- Preparation of, among other things, method, process and organization descriptions
- Responding to award criteria and other qualitative parts of the bid
- Structuring and quality assurance of the material
- Follow-up on deadlines and deliveries
- Ensuring a clear through-line through the entire bid
- Contributing to evaluation and development of our bid work
Future bids require more than good calculations. We must also be able to understand the client, understand the task and clearly convey why our solution creates value.
You will be the link between the specialists We have skilled specialists across our disciplines. They have the technical knowledge, while you help to bring it clearly forward and make it relevant to the recipient.
It requires that you can interview, listen and ask the right questions. You must be able to understand technical problems and tender materials, collect input from different disciplines and translate it into clear and precise language.
You do not need to be the technical expert yourself, but you must be willing and able to understand the material well enough to convey it.
Who are you? Your professional background can be many things. Maybe you are a journalist, cand.mag., Danish teacher, or work with communications. Maybe you already come from the construction industry and have strong coordination and communication skills.
The most important for us is not which education is on your CV. It is what you can do – and whether you dare.
We especially emphasize that you
- Are a strong writer and express yourself clearly and precisely
- Are structured and can coordinate multiple deliveries and deadlines
- Are good at asking questions and eliciting the necessary knowledge
- Can understand complex material and communicate it to others
- Have an eye for both detail and the overall context
- Work independently and take responsibility for driving the process forward
- Thrive with a large network of contacts and collaboration across disciplines
A central role with room to make your mark With us you will become part of a bids department with diverse professional competencies and close collaboration across the organization. You will have skilled specialists around you, a wide network of contacts and the opportunity to gradually take responsibility for your own bid processes.
We are an informal organization with short decision-making paths and room for ideas. The role is new, and you will therefore also have the opportunity to help shape it and put your mark on how we work with bids and prequalification in the future.
Interested? Would you like to help develop our bid work, where we work with AI, automation, data, ESG and new digital tools? And would you like to have a role where you both take responsibility for your own tasks and have the opportunity to develop the way we work?
Then send us your CV and a personal application, where you tell a little about who you are, what you are good at, and why the role appeals to you.
If you have questions about the position, you are welcome to contact bid manager Magnus Michelsen at phone number 27 88 27 11.
