About the job
A care center should be a good place to live – but it should also be a good place to work
At Porsebakken we are seeking a social- and health-care helper who is eager to help create good and meaningful everyday lives for our residents – and who also wants a workplace where collaboration, professionalism, humor and a good working environment fill the day.
With us you are not just the one who helps with daily practical and personal care. You are an important part of the residents' everyday life. You are the one who notices small changes, knows the routines, spots resources and helps create the moments that make a day a good day.
Welcome to Porsebakken
Porsebakken is home to 48 residents spread over three departments.
Here, social- and health-care aides, social- and health-care assistants, nurses, therapists and house assistants work side by side. We also have apprentices and students who help create a lively learning environment and keep us curious about our own practice.
We believe that the best care arises when we use each other’s different professional disciplines.
As a social- and health-care helper, your professional expertise is important. You are close to the residents, and your observations, relationships and your knowledge of the individual are an important part of the overall cross-disciplinary work.
A good day is more than a set of tasks
At Porsebakken we want to create a daily life where the residents' lives, wishes and routines are the starting point.
Care and support must of course be in order, but there must also be room for the life around it.
A cup of coffee and a good chat. Music. A walk. A laugh in the corridor. Helping a resident continue to be able to do what they themselves can. Or simply having time to be present when that is what is needed.
It is often the small things that create the big difference. And that difference you should be keen to help create.
We also look after the work life
We want a working environment where people help each other, talk to each other respectfully and dare to ask for help.
You should be able to go to work and feel that you are part of a community. We expect you to contribute to that – and you may expect the same from us.
We also know that work life and private life must be able to fit together. Therefore we focus on flexibility and the opportunity to influence your shift schedule.
Tell us what works well in your life. Hours, weekend rotations and working times we can discuss. The most important for us is to find the right colleague and, as far as possible, create some framework that works for both parties.
You don't need to be able to do everything – you should have a desire to develop yourself
At Porsebakken we prioritise competence development.
You will work closely with colleagues with different educations and experiences, and our nurses and therapists are a natural part of the professional sparring in everyday work.
We have apprentices and students in the house, and that means we are used to asking questions, sharing our knowledge and learning together.
Your nearest personel manager is our cross-functional group leader, who focuses on employees' well-being, development and on collaboration across the building.
With us it should be completely natural to say "Det er jeg i tvivl om – kan du hjælpe mig?" For that is how we become better together.
Perhaps it is you we are looking for? Come and experience Porsebakken
A job advertisement can tell you a lot – but not how it feels to step through the door.
Therefore you are very welcome to contact us if you are curious about the position. You are also welcome to stop by for a cup of coffee and experience the house before you decide to apply.
The position is initially 37 hours per week, but we are flexible. Please tell us what you want from your working life.
Further information
Salary and employment terms are in accordance with the applicable collective agreement and in line with the Ny Løn principles.
If you want to know more about the position you are welcome to contact the care center manager Maria on phone 7259 7461 or the cross-functional group leader Nadja on phone 2125 4547.
Application deadline: 25. November 2026, but we conduct ongoing interviews and expected start date is 1. December 2026 or 1. January 2027.
Educational documents and relevant documents are attached to the application.
We look forward to hearing from you.
