About the job

Are you passionate about creating participation opportunities for children with special needs? Do you thrive in collaboration, guiding and developing pedagogical practice?

Then perhaps you are the one we are looking for as our new resource educator in Area East.

About the position

As a resource educator in Area East you will be part of a professionally strong team that works across the area's day care offerings. You will support children with special needs, contribute to the development of inclusive child communities and work closely with both staff, parents and interdisciplinary partners.

In Area East we believe that all children do the best they can. Therefore we work from a resource-oriented and relational view of children, where children develop through safe relationships and meaningful communities. With inspiration from Omsorgsgrebet we are concerned with understanding the child’s intentions and creating participation opportunities.

As a resource educator you will, among other things

  • work with pedagogical interventions concerning individual children and groups of children.
  • support participation opportunities for children with special needs.
  • advise and guide staff in the pedagogical learning environments.
  • work closely with parents around the child’s development and well-being.
  • participate in cross-disciplinary collaboration around children and families.
  • document and describe pedagogical interventions and development processes.
  • contribute to the development of inclusive practice in the area’s day care offerings.

A strong professional community

You will become part of Area East’s resource educator team, where professional sparring, collegial supervision and knowledge sharing are a natural part of the work.

In addition, resource educators across the day care areas meet for joint professional qualification, where knowledge, experiences and new perspectives are shared.

Several of the resource educators work with NUSSA programs, and all work from Frydlege as part of the shared professional approach.

We are looking for someone who

  • is a trained pedagogue with experience from the day care sector.
  • would preferably have experience from or an interest in the special pedagogical area.
  • wants to work with children with special needs and their participation in communities.
  • can plan targeted pedagogical interventions with inclusion as the central focus.
  • has knowledge of or interest in alternative communication forms and language-stimulating interventions.
  • sees parental collaboration as an important part of the pedagogical task.
  • can work independently while actively participating in a team.
  • is curious about one’s own practice and can reflect on one’s own perspectives and professional approaches.
  • forms yourself clearly both verbally and in writing.
  • thrives in interdisciplinary collaborations and is happy to share your knowledge with others.
  • contributes positively to job satisfaction, well-being and a good working environment.
  • is flexible, proactive and sees opportunities rather than limitations.

It is advantageous if you have knowledge of DPU (Danish Pedagogical Development Description) and Brain & Heart.

A driver’s license is a prerequisite.

We offer

  • a permanent position of 37 hours.
  • a varied and meaningful job with great significance for children and families.
  • exciting and challenging tasks across day care centers.
  • high professionalism and good opportunities for sparring.
  • an engaged team with a focus on joint development.
  • a workplace in motion, where we develop our practice together.
  • a high degree of trust, respect and inclusion.
  • humor, job satisfaction and an informal tone.
