Nutrition Assistant for the lunch program in the production kitchen by Skoven in Area Midt.

We are seeking a nutrition assistant for an exciting position in one of our shared kitchens. The position is currently located in the kitchen at Skoven and is 30 hours per week.

Starting from 1 October 2026 or as soon as possible thereafter.

Who are we?

We are an area where food is prepared daily for children aged 0-5 years.

Our children shall have nutritionally healthy and tasty meals every day.

Hours are generally Monday to Thursday in the time between approx. 6.00 and 15.00.

Since 2024 we have centralized our cooking in 3 larger kitchens centrally in Esbjerg and therefore you will be part of something new and exciting.

Besides you there are 2 staff in Bydelens Børnehus, 5 staff in the kitchen Ved Skoven and 2 staff in Fourfeldt Børnehus, all looking forward to welcoming you.

The daily manager of the 3 kitchens is employed in our kitchen by Skoven.

We are looking for

An employee who is trained e.g. as a kitchen assistant, nutrition assistant or who has another relevant education, as the work requires extensive knowledge and experience regarding children’s diets from 0-5 years. We emphasize that you can prepare exciting, healthy and varied meals for the children.

• In collaboration with the other staff you should be able to develop and compose a weekly exciting menu based on the recommendations regarding toddlers’ diets from the Danish Health Authority
• In collaboration with the kitchen manager and the other kitchen staff, participate in planning
• With your knowledge about food and nutrition, you will become a natural sparring partner for your colleagues
• You will, from a distance, be able to collaborate with the pedagogical staff around possible pedagogical food days and other arrangements in the respective department
• Someone who may possess IT skills in relation to Instagram and AULA
• You must be flexible and have an understanding of a pedagogical approach to a child’s need for food
• You must be adaptable, stable, flexible and loyal to the organization

Salary and terms of employment are set in accordance with the applicable collective agreement, including the current provisions on local pay formation.
