Area South seeks a resource pedagogue

We are seeking a resource pedagogue for 37 hours per week in the Area South with start date 1 December 2026.

About the resource pedagogues

Our resource pedagogues are academically grounded and experienced educators who handle tasks related to individual children and communities. The resource pedagogues are also responsible for advising institution staff, interdisciplinary partners, and parents.

The resource pedagogues are organized in the area.

The resource pedagogues are divided into teams in Esbjerg Municipality, where there is professional sparring, collegial supervision and knowledge sharing. Several work in pedagogical practice, e.g., with Frydlege, Omsorgsgrebet and sensory integration.

We expect that you

• Have experience from the day-care sector and possibly experience from the special needs field
• Have experience, interest and will to work with children with special needs
• Have experience with implementing the specially designed pedagogical effort in the child community with inclusion in mind
• Have knowledge and experience with alternative communication forms and language-stimulating initiatives
• Have particular competencies in relationship with parents
• Can relate critically to your own prerequisites, norms and professional boundaries
• Are inclusive and flexible in relation to task solving
• Make pedagogical considerations regarding the work with the children
• Can prepare written material and communicate in precise and concrete language
• Are loyal to joint decisions, take responsibility and show initiative
• Have heart, joy and enthusiasm in the special education work with children, parents and colleagues
• Manage taking responsibility for both daily parent collaboration and conversations about the children’s well-being, learning and development
• Find it exciting and developmental to work across professional boundaries. A good communicator who is happy to share knowledge
• Find it important to contribute to a good psychological work environment, professional development and well-being
• See opportunities and resources in the surroundings, where holistic solutions are considered.
• Have experience working with DPU (Danish Pedagogical Development Description) and Brain & Heart
• Have a driving license

Wage and employment terms are determined in accordance with the applicable collective agreement, including the applicable provisions on local salary setting. You can find information about the salary level in Esbjerg Municipality via this link: KRL. There you will also find information about base pay and pension. In addition, after a concrete assessment, qualification and/or function supplements can be agreed depending on the content of the position and your experience and qualifications.
