About the job
Would you like to help set the direction for a diverse portfolio of residential and commercial properties and translate commercial understanding, data and good ideas into long-term value creation? Then perhaps you are the one we’re looking for.
P+, the Pension Fund for Academics, is a member‑owned pension fund with nearly 125,000 members and total assets of approximately DKK 200 billion. That makes us one of the country’s 10 largest pension funds.
We are looking for an experienced colleague who wants to help manage and develop our Danish real estate investments. As an Asset Manager you will be close to the entire property value chain – from operations, budgets and ongoing follow-up to analyses, development plans and strategic decisions.
You will become part of a professionally skilled team with good camaraderie, a high level of trust and a focus on continuous development – for the benefit of both our members and the individual employee.
Your responsibility
You will play an important role in the daily management and long-term development of our 40 Danish properties. In close collaboration with colleagues and external partners, you will ensure an efficient, sustainable and value-creating development of the portfolio.
The role requires you to combine real estate expertise with financial and commercial understanding. You will have a broad contact surface and closely follow up with external partners. Experience with OMK properties and/or commercial properties is an advantage.
Your primary areas of responsibility and tasks include
- Contribute to the ongoing management and long-term development of a portfolio of residential and commercial properties together with your colleagues
- Build and maintain good relationships with external property managers, asset managers, advisors and other partners, and ensure progress through ongoing dialogue and status meetings
- Prepare, review and follow up on budgets, maintenance plans, as well as action and development plans at property and portfolio level
- Monitor portfolio operations and performance through relevant reporting
- Structure and analyze data to identify trends, opportunities and risks, and translate insights into recommendations and internal reporting
- Identify and implement optimization and development initiatives in close collaboration with the team and external advisors
- Plan and conduct the processes around our asset management meetings and follow up on agreed actions
- Represent P+ in selected companies and homeowner associations and handle ongoing ad hoc tasks
Who are you?
You take ownership, create momentum and thrive on solving tasks in close collaboration with others. You work in a structured and analytical way and manage to maintain an overview of your tasks. At the same time, you understand the relationships and the dialogue required to achieve results across internal and external partners.
We also imagine that you
- Have at least 5 years of relevant experience from asset management, or related areas, e.g., from a pension fund or a property manager
- Have solid financial and commercial understanding and preferably experience with valuation models, sensitivity analyses, business cases and Power BI
- Work independently, in a structured and detail-oriented manner and follow up tasks through to completion
- Can translate complex analyses and issues into clear recommendations, presentations and reports
- Have good written and oral communication skills and actively contribute to a strong professional community
About us
The real estate area is part of the Unlisted Investments department, which manages a global portfolio in real estate, private equity, infrastructure and alternative credit. Our investments outside Denmark are made via funds and co-investments with leading managers in their field. In Denmark, we mainly own our properties directly.
