About the job

A meaningful job - we are ready to help when trouble strikes

Are you action-oriented, have strong communication skills and dare to take independent decisions? Then you are the one we are looking for as an Assistance Coordinator for our control center in Aarhus.

Here you will play a central role when we help motorists who need roadside assistance. You will become part of a strong team where we work together toward a common goal of helping our customers and delivering the best possible service to them.

The Job

As an Assistance Coordinator your main task is to help motorists who experience a breakdown or need assistance. You are the first person the customer talks to, and therefore you play a crucial role in creating an overview, reassurance and the right solution.

You act as the liaison between the customer, our partners and our own responders on the roads. Through professional guidance and coordination you ensure that the customer quickly gets the help they need. It is a responsible job where your assessments and decisions make a real difference for our customers in a pressured situation.

As part of the job you are also introduced to our sustainable initiatives. At the control center we work among other things with the concept Help on Phone, where we assist customers further by phone when possible, without sending an assistance vehicle. It provides a fast and efficient solution for the customer and also contributes to reducing CO2 emissions.

Become part of a strong, social community

At SOS International you become part of a strong community where we help each other and have fun together. We believe that good relationships create both wellbeing and results, and therefore we place high priority on the social community.

So do you want colleagues who support you in daily life, and the opportunity to build a unique network? Then the opportunity is here!

Working hours and training program

The control center is staffed around the clock, year-round. The position is a student job with a minimum of 32 hours per month on average. In busy periods, especially during school holidays, there will typically be the possibility of more hours due to our peak season.

To ensure the best start we offer a thorough onboarding program consisting of teaching, e-learning, training shifts and support from a personal mentor who helps you settle into the role well and safely.

Qualifications

  • You can work independently and thrive on making decisions on your own
  • You have experience from a previous job where good customer service was your most important tool
  • You thrive with many phone calls in a busy daily life.
  • You are able to work in a structured and focused way in a fast-paced work environment
  • You can make people in stressful situations feel safe over the phone
  • You communicate clearly, are solution-oriented and can handle difficult conversations
  • You speak and write fluent Danish and English
  • You are a student
  • The position requires presenting a clean criminal record

We offer

  • A good social environment that challenges you professionally and develops you personally
  • An attractive hourly wage with a supplement scheme for work in evening, night and weekend hours
  • A job in one of the Nordics' largest assistance organizations, SOS International, where SOS Dansk Autohjælp is a total supplier to the insurance industry and car importers within roadside assistance, etc.
  • A solid basic training focusing on customer service, dialogue tools and conflict management
  • Ample opportunity to develop your communication and human skills in practice
  • Canteen during the day and staff benefits such as social events and fruit scheme
  • New premises in Aarhus N with layout and facilities that reflect the workplace of the future and easy access to public transport
