About the job

Do you want to influence the professional quality, ensure the good patient journey, and lead an engaged team? We are looking for you as our Assistant Chief Nurse for Ward S3-40, who shares our core values of care, responsibility, well-being and involvement.

The Ward and Primary Tasks

Ward S3-40 is an exciting, low-secured ward with 14 beds. We admit patients aged 18-72 and primarily treat patients with affective disorders, but we also treat patients with a wide range of other mental disorders and social issues.

The ward is divided into entrances: The low-secured Ward 40 and the high-secured Ward 36. You will work closely with the Assistant Chief Nurse on Ward 36 to ensure a consistent approach across. As Assistant Chief Nurse with us, you will become a central key person and the important link within the ward. You ensure sparring and coordination between the Chief Nurse, the medical team, the duty planner and the nursing staff.

At the same time, you will have a close and present contact with both patients and relatives as well as our external partners. You will be an important part of the team and participate in daily tasks.

As Assistant Chief Nurse with us you get ample opportunity to shape your own function as well as the professional quality in both the ward and the overall organization. Interdisciplinary collaboration – both internally and externally – is a natural part of our everyday life. We have a strong focus on a coherent, good patient pathway, where involvement of both patients and relatives is highly valued.

Our approach to patients is firmly rooted in SafeWards, Recovery and a strong relational and de-escalation effort. We work with the aim that our professional responsibility and care ensure that the patient experiences as much well-being as possible during admission. And we work with coping strategies that are sustainable after discharge.

We offer

  • A good working environment: You will become part of a friendly and welcoming staff group with colleagues who are passionate about the target group and who value succeeding with the complex tasks. Everyone contributes actively to maintaining and developing our positive and supportive working environment.
  • Visible leadership: A visible leadership that supports you in your daily life and prioritizes your personal and professional development.
  • Thorough introduction: We help you get started with a comprehensive joint and local introduction to all essential areas based on our Onboarding program.
  • Competence development: Ongoing supervision and courses in e.g. relations and de-escalation, CPR, and fire drills. We prioritise ongoing teaching, knowledge sharing and continuing education highly.

About you

We imagine that you are a trained nurse with psychiatric experience and an interest in clinical leadership. You manage to keep an overview in a varied workday, are good at communicating and highly value interdisciplinary collaboration. You are motivated by creating secure and structured frameworks for both patients and staff.

The position is full-time 37 hours, weekdays 07:00-15:00 or with weekend duty by arrangement.
