About the job

Would you like to be part of a close-knit leadership team where the employees are the experts?

The Parkvej residential offer under the Center for Well-being and Social Efforts seeks 2 assistant department heads who, together with department head Anita Wiberg Lohse, will help build a strong leadership team, shape the leadership culture and further develop Parkvej.

Together with more than 40 dedicated employees, we shall create the best possible framework for our 24 residents with physical and mental disabilities.

Everything we do centers on our core task: to strengthen citizens' ability to master their own lives and participate in relevant communities.

We offer

  • A position with many exciting functions and a large, autonomous leadership space.
  • A close collaboration across professional groups and the organization, where we place emphasis on co-management and create room for followership and professional ownership.
  • The opportunity, together with the department head, to shape and build a trust-based leadership team.
  • Strong development opportunities, both professionally and personally, including a Diploma in Leadership, which we expect you to start in the near future unless you already have it.
  • A culture that rests on presence, professional immersion and open dialogue, where decency is a given.
  • Safe framework and room to learn from our mistakes, so that we continuously improve together.
  • An active role in further developing Parkvej into Denmark's best workplace.

This will be part of your daily life in management

  • A significant part of your daily work involves being visible in operations, supporting staff in their well-being, sparring about professional challenges, creating structure and contributing to safe working conditions.
  • You are professionally well-founded, set direction and ensure high quality. You lead with a coaching approach and support employees' professional reflections and development. Your task is to support the educational and health‑care initiatives, spar with the staff, raise documentation practice and oversee competence development with an eye to both the individual employee's and Parkvej's development.
  • You prepare and follow up on duty rosters and support that the core task is carried out within the set financial framework.
  • You engage in an open and constructive dialogue with our external partners, including authorities and the health service, ensure good relations with relatives and collaborate across BBAL, where you will also become part of a unified leadership team of seven leaders.
  • You plan, lead and actively participate in staff meetings, thematic days, network meetings, interdisciplinary meetings and employee conversations.

This is what we envision for you

  • You are trained as a social educator and preferably have knowledge of the specialized adult field, and also preferably the health professional field.
  • You master a coaching leadership style, listen actively, ask curious questions and support employees' professional reflections.
  • You have a sense for co-management and thrive in creating frameworks where employees take responsibility and bring their professional expertise into play.
  • You are present, credible and trust‑building in your interaction with staff, citizens and relatives.
  • You have a strong calm and balance within yourself, maintain an overview and stand steady and firm, even when there are many balls in the air.
  • You are a professional beacon, reflecting on your own and shared practice, thinking innovatively and wishing to develop a strong leadership practice together with us.
  • You have strong communication skills both written and verbal
  • You meet everyday life with good energy, a smile, humor and an eye for the potential in your fellow humans.

Can you see yourself in the role, and are you eager to influence the leadership culture at Parkvej and create the best possible framework for residents and staff?

We look forward to receiving your application.
